not sure about dogs -cats are about £7 a nite round Belfast.
Dogs are walked -might make them more expensive to board??0 -

There is a dog kennels bear dundrod on the way to the international airport called cranmore pets hotel. I'm not sure of the price but I have heard very good things about their service.
There is also another good one at nutts corner. More details here.

i cant remember the name of it,i will check later but the one i use is absolutely fab
i have a medium size dog (beagle) and its £11.50 a day this is about standard for food care and walking
my dog this time around even though she had been before got a bit home sick and kept on getting herself into a tizzy, but the staff that worked there talked to her and calmed her down and provided her with a we mini hammock because it was softer on her and she is used to a more softer bed than the plastic ones you normally get.
If its not busy they get walked three times a day the poor we thing was shattered when she comes home they must have walked her a lot
One thing i will say is expect your dog to come home horse or with no bark for a while because all the dogs like to bark and "chat" to each other0 -
Cedar Grove Vets on the Knock carriageway - you often see the kennel maids out walking the dogs. Friends won't leave their dog anywhere else.
Garden Lodge Vets in Redburn, Old Holywood Road, again you often see the dogs being walked. I've left my cat here in the past so this would be my preference.
Not sure of prices but the last time I had kitty at Garden Lodge a lady was making arrangements for her two dogs to be be boarded for a fortnight it was over £200:eek:0 -
Depends what you want. Am involved in pet services industy, so will declare a sort of semi-interest here. My own clients speak well of Whinney Hill Kennels [Craigantlet], Greggs [Carryduff] and Dog's House [Ards Peninsula]. Look under 'boarding kennels' in YP for tel nos or others to try. Prices usually go up before summer, so ask what it will be the month you are going and check for any additional charges [e.g. pet insurance, VAT, giving medication, daily grooming, extra walks, etc], which can push the initial cost up. Anywhere good gets booked up quickly during holiday times. Would advise you make a provisional [most would be happy to take this] booking and then go and have a look to see if you're happy with premises, then make a firm booking. The kennels should give you details of required jabs.0

Thanks. I have already been to visit the Dogs House and I believe that Whinney Hill is a very similar set-up but bigger. I like the look of the Dog's House was just looking for a couple of other recommendations to check out for comparison purposes as its the only one I've looked at.

I use Gregg's in Carryduff and would be happy to recommend it.0
