    Im making a mince & onion pie, and now Ive cooked the mince, I think Ive added too much gravy , and its really salty....:eek: any ideas :confused:

    chop up a couple of potatoes and cook them in the mix ,the potatoes will take some of the saltyness away

    my other half thought th gravy needed some salt and now it tastes like salt gravy with a hint of onion. please help me salvage it. thanks.:confused:

    If you boil some potatoes in it, they attract the salt. You could use the potatoes for something else afterwards.

    Hmm, I'm not sure on that one, maybe a little sugar and some chili powder and a little lemon juice? If it goes wrong I take no responsibility!

    Or make double the quantity and freeze half?

    Just did a quick search and they suggest putting in some raw potato slices which should absorb some of the salt but it has to be simmering, apparently
