I was going to offer you a cup of tea and shoulder to cry on but you live to far away. I work on the bank so can pick and choose when I work although that does mean its not guarunteed but good if you need to fit round a partner. I can phone up if I knows he's coming in early to see if they have work for that night. I can put the kids to bed and be home to take them to school, you get used to no sleep!!!
Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

Awww thanks anyway, means a lot for people to listen xx
  • feeling a lil better now. Sold car for 3000 so thats my car insurance gone and £3000 off my credit cards. Changed mortgage to interest only so thats £150 less. Partner paying gas and electric and water from now on, plus when baby no2 arrives we will get approx £100 more a month ctc and i will get £50 extra child benefit. Its amazing how much can happen in a week!! Also we are entitled to a home grant to insulate so that will save heating costs and i had changed to a cheaper gas and electricity tariff thats capped til nov 08 so no rises but it comes down if prices do. Plus no council tax in feb/march so partner is paying that off cards too so thats them practically gone!!

    Hi

    Another thought

Are you getting SMP from your employer, who will presumably be sorting your tax out, or are you being paid by "the state"?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • I was self employed til october and had paid enough stamp to qualify for smp, that runs til september

Am no good on tax, but presumably, you altered your returns to reflect your lower income or do you do that next year?
