I had a good weekend at Boots!
On Saturday I found some reduced Badger kits:j Got 4 to put away as pressies.
Then I got a free No7 Highlighter on 342 with a Bronzing compact and a Sauna mask ( always fancied trying that!)
The SA said "oh No7 is on 342 anyway so do you want to take the highlighter coupon back?"I said no I'll just use it please, her face was a picture when it went down by another £10.25:rotfl: Also got 200 extra points from No7 gift set
Also used 2 £5 tillspits on Olay Cream wash for £1.50 each.
And 2 TD toners for free with 2 more tillspits! I wanted sanctuary but none on shelf.
Then I found 2 Sanctuary face wash so used 2 £5 tillspits and 95p each!
Then the Botanics body bar with free mini from ACM and an extra £1 off!!
On Sunday went to another branch and got 3 Jungle formula Roll ons at £1.50 each and 2 Bite relief spays at £1.25.I am stocking up for my holidays!
Used last tillspit on a TD line smoother.
I felt sad leaving the store with no more tillspits:o Mind you I got more mags so can still get another Highlighter with new GWP maybe????
Roll on the next round of offers!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
I do actually shop on .com, I dont think there is any need to be nasty. I actually had a good car boot sale yesterday selling off all my Boots Suncare and Botanics items from last year.
As a matter of fact the reason i replied to your first msg was because in my opinion you were being derogatory to others including myself who choose to have a bit of a laugh re .com of a morning due to you having to read through these to find what your looking for. I definately dont see were your coming from with regard to me being nasty as my msgs were sarcastic perhaps but in no way intended to be 'nasty'. I suggest you have another wee read of your original msg as to me it certainly does have that very attribute!

On Saturday I bought a No7 peel for £17.95 and got the Illuminating powder free and handed over my Boots card and a credit card. I had quite a few of those £5 vouchers to use so I went back and forth to the tills quite a few times to use them up. One of the things I bought was a Time Delay serum for £5 and a voucer.
When I got home and looked at the receipts I noticed I had not got the 10% discount off the face peel so I rang customer services. It was her who told me about all Boots own brand having 10% off for the 60+. Anyway she said she would add on 200 points to compensate for not getting the discount but said the next time I was in Boots to ask the assistant to ring head office and they would tell them how to activate my card.
I use the very busy Boots in Newcastle so I don't relish holding up a queue of people while thay do this. I asked if they could not do this from her end at head office and she said no.
What I would like to know as this happened to anyone else or something similar and would it be wise to take my passport in with me to verify my age. Not that I am vain enough to think I look a lot younger!!!
I keep all my receipts, so is it worth going through them since I turned 60 to look for other things I have bought from the Boots range to see if I have been given the discount and try and get a refund on them.
I know I have been given it on the No7 Protect & Preserve as I only paid £45 for it when it first came out.
Anything you can tell would help as I am a little bit worried. I read all your posts about these horrible assistants when you complain.
I am having a similar problem with the Health club .I buy the Sensitive laundry liquid and it should be half price with the health club.To start with it worked fine but now it never comes u at half price so I end up holding up the queue while they refund me.
I think it should be half price on .com but that doesn't work either!
I have avoided buying it while using piles of tillspits and coupons as I don't want to cause too much chaos!
Maybe try and visit a store when it is quiet and ask a SA maybe not on a till?:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

Morning all - I just wanted to ask if fellow Bootsers have tried any of the 'Boots Basics' products..........I've bought several in the past and have found that they are just as good (and A LOT CHEAPER!!) as the branded products....I don't mind using 'Basics' but I have found some of my more 'fussy' family members look down on these 'cheapo products' (what they call them!).....So what I have started to do is fill the empty 'Branded labelled' bottles etc with the 'Basic' products -eg mouthwash/showergels/shampoo etc - Result - They HAVEN'T spotted a difference!!-NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!!!.......Isn't it amazing how some people are attracted to the expensive branded products?!!
Anyone else think 'Basics' are just as good/have any complaints about them??
The basic toothpaste is great value for money but the shampoo is terrible, it leaves your hair greasy after a day, would rather pay the extra and get something decent.0 -
If the illuminating powder is included in the 342 does it mean that I can get 2 x intensive rewind serum (2x £17.50) = £35.00 plus the illuminating powder @ £10.50 with the voucher and it comes out at £45.50 -£10.50 for the 342 and -£10.50 for the voucher = £24.50
Would it not be £17.50?
2x £17.50 products
1x £10.25
-10.25 voucher
-£17.50, 3 4 2?0 -

No it wud be £24.50 as in the 3 4 2 the cheapest item will come off...which in this case is 10.25...

Not an expert at this but, I would say that...
the 342 offer kicks in automatically so it would take off the cheapest item (illuminating powder) first @ £10.50
if you then used the free voucher not sure if the till would take it off again when it's already been deducted once IYKWIM
I always assumed that you needed to have something cheaper than the illuminating powder so that item is removed in the 342 then allowing the voucher to work.
Hope this makes sense! Has anyone actually tried buying 2 things more expensive than the illuminating powder and using the voucher?
But who know with Boots???!!!0
