hi all, just wondered if anyone can help.
ive been visiting the instore 50% & 75% off sales and have ended up with some stuff left over. weve taken what we want, put away the birthday/xmas gifts etc but still got a fair few bits left. also stuff ive bought ove the last 6 months since ive been bootsing!
its all what i would class as half decent ( no.7, ruby & millie, clarins, clinique etc) im not wanting to put in on ebay, and i dont have access for a car for a boot sale so just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to where might be a good place to sell it. im not looking to profit at all, just basically want what i paid out back.
Thank in advance if anyone has a good idea.
Hi Glen 25, I have PM'd you. :cheesy:~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
Hi All
Just to say thanks for all posts. I managed to grab a couple of mags in Woking and the look on the SA face when I got the Highlights free was comical.
Took hubby the next day to Guildford, but no tan wipes so put a full shopping basket down........
We have been getting the free photo's from the mag.
Hubby is impressed by what I am saving, and we are putting all away for Birthdays and Xmas Presents.
Thanks to all.

Morning all - I just wanted to ask if fellow Bootsers have tried any of the 'Boots Basics' products..........I've bought several in the past and have found that they are just as good (and A LOT CHEAPER!!) as the branded products....I don't mind using 'Basics' but I have found some of my more 'fussy' family members look down on these 'cheapo products' (what they call them!).....So what I have started to do is fill the empty 'Branded labelled' bottles etc with the 'Basic' products -eg mouthwash/showergels/shampoo etc - Result - They HAVEN'T spotted a difference!!-NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!!!.......Isn't it amazing how some people are attracted to the expensive branded products?!!
Anyone else think 'Basics' are just as good/have any complaints about them??
Hi,
I use the soap and the mouthwash (from the glitch!!) and find them great. As for the other stuff (lotion, conditioner, etc, etc)... I confess I buy them when there is an offer on, so I have never really tried the basics version.
What I do find in Boots is that they have the same product in most lines, and I wonder if the versions are all that different (in price order: Expert, Botanics, Time delay, sanctuary, N7)? I don't mind as long as there are offers on, but some versions are really much cheaper, like the eye cream from Expert range, that now you can get for £1.24 - it even has SPF15, which most eye creams, even the fancy ones, don't have. Makes you wonder why we pay the price premium...
As someone pointed out the P&P has the same ingredients as the wrinkle reducing night serum by Time Delay (I've also checked the ingredients) and one is £17, and the other £10, and even though there are always offers on, ultimately we should be moneysavers and go for the cheaper version, on offer!!0 -
If the illuminating powder is included in the 342 does it mean that I can get 2 x intensive rewind serum (2x £17.50) = £35.00 plus the illuminating powder @ £10.50 with the voucher and it comes out at £45.50 -£10.50 for the 342 and -£10.50 for the voucher = £24.500

I just said ok, it as she had not flinched when putting the No7 342 and illuminating voucher thru for me. And she did offer to get me onother eye cream so that I could use my other voucher. But as I declined as I already had 2 pots and that should last me a while! So will go back tomorrow.
Please note that the last day to use the £5.00 facial skincare vouchers is tomorrow.
I tried to get two trial size sanctuary items today with a £5.00 voucher, and the lady said no, didn't try to scan, but I can't see anywhere on the vouchers that says no mini/trial size, so I just left it. I finally managed to get hold of a TD eye brightner for 50p thought after being told last week that they were included in the vouchers as it wasn't classed as facial!2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
I am 60 and I did have my advantage card activated to get the 10% discount but I thought it was only for No7 and not all the Boots own brand name stuff.
On Saturday I bought a No7 peel for £17.95 and got the Illuminating powder free and handed over my Boots card and a credit card. I had quite a few of those £5 vouchers to use so I went back and forth to the tills quite a few times to use them up. One of the things I bought was a Time Delay serum for £5 and a voucer.
When I got home and looked at the receipts I noticed I had not got the 10% discount off the face peel so I rang customer services. It was her who told me about all Boots own brand having 10% off for the 60+. Anyway she said she would add on 200 points to compensate for not getting the discount but said the next time I was in Boots to ask the assistant to ring head office and they would tell them how to activate my card.
I use the very busy Boots in Newcastle so I don't relish holding up a queue of people while thay do this. I asked if they could not do this from her end at head office and she said no.
What I would like to know as this happened to anyone else or something similar and would it be wise to take my passport in with me to verify my age. Not that I am vain enough to think I look a lot younger!!!
I keep all my receipts, so is it worth going through them since I turned 60 to look for other things I have bought from the Boots range to see if I have been given the discount and try and get a refund on them.
I know I have been given it on the No7 Protect & Preserve as I only paid £45 for it when it first came out.
Anything you can tell would help as I am a little bit worried. I read all your posts about these horrible assistants when you complain.0
