Thank you for contacting us about your recent visit to our Southampton
store. I am sorry to hear that you were unable to use your voucher for
the free No7 highlighting powder at this store. I can certainly
appreciate how frustrating this may be for you.
Unfortunately it does state clearly in the terms and conditions of this
offer that it is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
This would include reduced items. This is why the voucher was not
accepted. I can appreciate this is disappointing especially as other family
members have been able to use this voucher with other offers. The other
stores should not have accepted this voucher whilst being used with
another offer.
Please be assured that I have raised these concerns with our Operations
Team. This will help us to prevent this from happening in the future.
Once again please accept my apologies for any disappointment this
matter may have caused you.
Not the sort of reply I wanted to hear0 -
The large Boots in Hammersmith has the highlighter and the tan wipes scan at £0.50. Only got one, but there were plenty left.0

I have just been to Solihull branch, who refused to let me use it with the 3 for 2 offer. She tried it through the till and said it didn't work - she must have been lying as no-one else has had the same problem!!0

I went to the Basingstoke Boots and picked up the tanning wipes for 50p from the sale shelf & face powder went to the pharmacy till, everything went through nicely - it always feels good when you beat the system!....YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

Which is a load of nonsense since several MSE'rs have managed to get the powder free with a reduced item!0 -
Goodluck with your email to them princess jane, I emailed them last wk after a hunt for their email addy, still no reply except the automated one to say they have received it. Also emailed Martin Lewis to alert other user's. My item I wanted to buy was a reduced £1 No7 lip pallette, the assistant went to the manager (so she said) but I didn't see him/her. Let us know how you get on. Ta Marie
I complained and when I got the standard response I directed them to this 'ere thread to show them the vastly different and often negative experiences customers are having in relation to this offer.
Nothing back as yet.
It has made Boots go down in my estimation TBH.
I always thought of them as quite a fair and transparent retailer.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
It must be down to the individual store and the sales assistant. I got mine on a saturday. The SA looked like a Saturday girl (I had to ask for the powder though) and she happily put through reduced item and extra points voucher and there wasn't a problem. My store had plenty of magazines too. I'm going to try again at a different store.0
