Had voucher for 250 advantage card points that was free with No7 freebie on offer over christmas that could be used on any no7 product. I couldn't find any wipes but did find a rather nice eye shadow (£4-reduced from 8.50) in clearence basket. I got this and used the voucher for free powder and the points voucher. It all went through even though points voucher said it wasn't valid with other offers. Cost of eye shadow + powder £4- points awarded 266 you could say it cost me £1.44.

In the advantage points machine you can also get a 100 extra points voucher to use when you buy no7 might be worth giving it a go.

I cannot believe that some Boots staff are so bloody minded, it is not like it is coming out of their pockets is it?

Good luck, keep up the good work, customer power!

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • wouldnt let me have free highlighter with sale goods in bognor store
  • hi there my wife tried with reduced tan wipes and the staff at the till said that you could not do it that way some boots will some wont the one that wouldnt was at stafford
  • I got my coupon from the magazine and in my Boots the tan wipes were on sale for 25p tried using the bar code on the 25p sticker did not allow the face powder free. So I told her I don't mind paying £1 so she swiped the bar code on the sachet and low and behold the price still came up with 25p and allowed the offer. Thanks Martin for a sucessful purchase :T

I had a pretty cringe-worthy experience yesterday: I went to the No. 7 counter, picked up the highlighter and some £6 eyelash curlers that I wanted, only to be told by the No. 7 lady that it wouldn't go through as the curlers were classed as accessories.

I humphed off and went to the main tills to try it on a non-No. 7 member of staff, where it wouldn't go through and the till girl said "oh, we'll just take it over to the No. 7 counter and do it there". I tried to wheedle her to the empty till away from original No.7 lady but she asked No. 7 lady why the offer wouldn't go through *crriiiinge*

The No. 7 lady was like "i've just TOLD this young lady that accessories won't go through, she can't have them", at which point I said "look, it doesn't say anything about accessories on there, just that it has to be another No. 7 PRODUCT"

In the end No. 7 lady harrumphed and gave the till girl a zero override voucher or something and it went through after a good long while. Haha. Stressville! :rotfl:

  • Sunderland Boots aren't playing either.

I'm gonna fire off an email of complaint as it seems a bit mean to entice us in with lovely offers then complain when we try to extend the bargain-hunting ethos.
Goodluck with your email to them princess jane, I emailed them last wk after a hunt for their email addy, still no reply except the automated one to say they have received it. Also emailed Martin Lewis to alert other user's. My item I wanted to buy was a reduced £1 No7 lip pallette, the assistant went to the manager (so she said) but I didn't see him/her. Let us know how you get on. Ta Marie

Just used this today and it works with the 3-for-2 promotion automatically on the tills. As long as your SA isn't annoying (seriously, they get paid near minimum wage, why do they care?), the till will handle it.

I almost was able to use a 100 free points when you spend £15 that was at the Advantage machine, but my total was only £14.50 before taking off the £10.25 powder. I should've thought of that first! 50p more and I would've gotten 100 points as well.
