I got hold of mine at the weekend in Bromborough. I tried to get it with a mini eye palette that had been reduced to a pound but was told I couldn't so picked up at £6.50 eyeliner-it's hard to find anything cheap in that range! When I took it to the till it was down to £1 and they put it through with the voucher. So in total I got about £17 worth of stuff for a pound!

Boots really need to be more consistent in what they're telling their customers! I had a hassle trying to get the powder with eyelash curlers and they sure as hell weren't in any other offer! But because they were "accessories" they wouldn't go through?! (Did in the end but only by standing my ground)

If it works in one store and not in another it just leads me to believe that they're lying in their email complaint responses, and some SA's are just being told to not put the offer through or say that the till won't let them - I find it hard to believe that each store has an entirely different result at the tills!

  • The store in Wolverhampton have lots of 50p wipes, but they're kept in the drawer by the No7 desk. I know because my daughter asked the sa for one to get her free powder. She gave her one and allowed her to have her free powder. They're not on display though so you need to ask nicely.
  • I came accross the magazine voucher by accident today and as I already use the highlighter was extremely pleased. I didn't see any cheep items like the wipes however the Oldham store currently has a spenf £20 and get a free gift offer. I spent £20, got the free gift (which is excellent) and also the highlighter free. In addition there was an extra 100 points if you spent over £15 by voucher printed off the advantage card machine which also worked. so all in all a good bargain and No7 do seem to be excellent products that last well.:j I feel happy!
  • Just to let you know the vouchers are valid right up until 25.02.08.... and this offer still works!

I was browsing the No.7 counter and had forgotten about the voucher; but a reduced item caught my eye. It was a "Trinket trio": a boxed set, comprising a really cute polished metal case - about half the shape and size of a lipstick - with a Star-shaped trinket attached to it. The case opened, to reveal a small mirror, and a slot for putting in one of three tiny 'trays' supplied with the case: one of solid fragrance, one of a wine-coloured lip balm, and one of a neutral/vanilla highlighter for brows and cheekbones.

It was labelled £1. 'Blimey', I thought, 'got to have that' - and then I remembered the voucher.

So I picked up the powder, headed for a till... no problem! SA didn't hesitate, both products for £1.

I am ridiculously pleased with my barely-paid-for fripperies!

Thank you, Boots - great marketing item!

*edit* here it is - OMG original price was £15.50!

I've tried the powder and it's really good! Going in tomorrow to pick up another voucher and I will buy one powder to get another free, will keep me going for ages!
  • Finally got mine yesterday...and a friendly shopper handed me a £5.00 voucher, so I got a £11 skin illuminator, plus the powder for £6.00. I could've bought something cheaper - but at least this way I got something I actually wanted. :0)
