    You should be able to check if the wheel will rotate freely while it's on the jack.

    IMO your best bet is to have someone gently drive it backwards and forwards while you listen underneath for the "clunk" of whatever is stopping it. That will give you a good idea of exactly where to look.

    It's definitely the wheel I've just changed I can feel it catching after about a quarter turn.

    If not an auto, and you're pushing, sounds like the hand brake is off and car in gear.

    Has it got LSD (limited slip diff) ?

    It's an auto. Would have assumeputting it in neautral the turning off ignition and pushing would allow me to move it.
