Oh I don't mean to cause any more bother at all.
I am very touched that you nominated me for post of the month though!! Wow. Though I really don't deserve it because it was last month that I thought the idea up and also it's not really fair for me to be nominated when others have put a lot of hard work into it too.
(But still I am chuffed!!)
I think it would be wonderful for them to stay - but only if we can get it more organised. Like I said earlier maybe at the end of each month start a new thread for the up and coming month (a bit like the 2008 club thread) and anyone who does want to help out just replies to the message and whatever number post they are would be the date they work on? That would be a fair way I guess? We could sticky it and then there would be no confusion?
However I did not realise until your post that the majority of the people who were using these were newbies..... and so I agree maybe a one off poll could be the best idea before we go any further?
I'm happy one way or another to be honest - I just don't like to think that others are getting wound up or disappointed in any way over something that I started off just to kill a bit time
BTW - I notice you won in the IWOOT advent calendar??? :T How fast are you?? I struggled so much to stay up til midnight each night and some nights I was so proud that I had submitted the answer in around 30 seconds - I was convinced this was fast enough!! lol
Thanks Scottishfreebiehunter - I guess I just feel a little embarrassed by everything that has been said lately!!Dream of being mortgage free....

I think I'm a regular member & I love these ending threads, mainly because I go through the daily email - when it arrives - but sadly that method is unreliable as the daily email doesn't always arrive & I simply don't have time to go through all the posts on here to keep up-to-date!2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

O dear, for such a happy bunch of compers it seems it doesn't take much to upset the apple cart.
I haven't contributed to the debate on daily lists so far but I have read them. The original request for help, I think descended into a debate on the merits of the scheme, there were plenty of people for and against the daily lists. The second thread was started so as people could just concentrate on volunteering or not and this seems to have led to the confusion around who was doing what. I'm geneuinely heartedned to see people apologising and trying to resolve the issue rather than the spats that are seen on other boards.
I think if you want to do a poll, you need to start a new thread and choose 'post a poll' with this thread in the additional options at bottom of the screen. Personally, I'd ask one of the 3 BGs first and explain what you're doing and then they can merge the poll into this discusion thread.
I believe the daily lists are allowed but not other collections; Divadee said so in a reply to a thread that lumped a load of holiday comps together.
Personally, I don't use the daily lists as I try and stay up to date and if I miss a comp, I miss a comp. Although I don't use the daily lists I have found them beneficial, as they have reduced the endless bumping of nearly finished comps, so I've reduced the number of wasted clicks by opening comps I've already entered. However, I would prefer there just to be 1 thread per closing date rather than 'part 1', 'part 2' etc, but I can appreciate how much work there is in doing them so I'm not having a go, just asking for some common method of doing them. As I say, they're just not my way of comping so I won't be volunteering to help.

Actually while we're on the subject princessmoneysaver - What has happened to the daily emails we're meant to get when we subscribe to the competitions thread??

I think people should chill and let others be if they want a thread for endings then cannot see anything wrong with it.Just back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream0

I don't know why the daily emails don't always arrive, all my other daily emails arrive ok for the other forums. My only suggestion is because there is simply too much info on them so for whatever reason it won't send it???? I'm not very technical - sorry - but can't think of any other reason?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

Something I have been pondering over for a week or so now....
...do you think with the advent of 'win 2008 quid in 2008' and stuff that more people are going to be entering 'just anything' just to get their total up? I know a lot of people from here wouldn't but I get really annoyed the amount of people I hear of (not just from here..in fact mostly not from here) who win things then say they can't go..
...for example to a concert that night or something? I don't have a beef with anyone that wants to win, say, a second wii because they want to sell it for example by the way... even though I only enter things I can use for 99.9 percent of the time... I can't work for various reasons hence have a lot of time to enter comps and I have no doubt there are others like me who wish to earn a living that way or something. Also people that can't go for other reasons, not that they wouldn't have bothered going anyway..
It's just those that really couldn't afford to go to the concert (for example) and entered, only to find out that someone won the tickets and nobody went in the end .. just makes me sad
Goodness am I just having a sad week or what worrying about this? LOL
Someone just slap me....:j A-well-a bird, bird, bird...b-bird's the word :j0 -
I only enter for items I want for myself or family, I did win 2 lots of tickets - both of which I wanted to go to but sadly for reasons beyond my control I couldn't & I was gutted about both of them. I have entered some comps in the hope to win the main prize but have won the runner's up prize which I have sold because I didn't want - this was not this year for the £2008 challenge I will add. This year as been fantastic for me & as you can see from my sig I have already completed the challenge with a £1,000 cheque & a £1,500 holiday voucher amongst other smaller prizes but I enjoy entering them so although I have completed the challenge I'm going to carry on, I'm not sure if some people agree with that & for all I know I might not win anything again this year but I don't do it for the wins I do it for fun.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0
