I saw this post and pmd bella165 who (luckily for me,as I had already copied all the posts!) hadnt started so that was OK, however, someone else then posted the comps. Don't get me wrong I am not cross with anyone (except possibly myself!) but it does take a lot of time to do this.
I believe we should allocate as I previously suggested, but more officially as follows:
All dates for the month are posted eg:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 etc
You copy and paste the dates onto your reply, but delete the date you want to do!! ie I choose 2
So the next post would show
1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 etc.
Had it not been for so many duplicate threads this would have worked!!
I really wouldnt want to spend hours on something like this again unless I knew my time was well spent!! (I dont have a lot of time, I work full time, I am trying to keep fit, I have 3 kids and 2 stepkids, one who lives with us, so 4 in total! I rarely have time to see my mum!!) I certainly wouldnt do the work unless I knew noone else was going to post the same.

I think some of the compers who are doing the lists are doing a great job and yes maybe should stick to end dates just a few days away,though it is helping many people and a great idea and of course not everyone will like it,though live and let live as a grea forum.Just back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream0

I feel bad now for starting this whole 'competitions ending' malarky
I just thought, as I wasn't well at the time, it was a good way of passing time and giving me something to concentrate on and just hoped that other people would benefit from it. Basically it stoped me moping about and helped ensure no-one missed any competitions that they mat have been interested in. A win-win situatio surely?
But it's all my fault that everyone is getting stressed out about wasted time and effort as I shouldn't have started something that would take up so much time if I wasn't going to be able to keep it up!!!
I would love to continue doing it myself for you all (as obviously when only one person was doing it there was no onfusion or misunderstandings at all) but I have to go back to work soon so I am concentrating on preparing myself for this and then obviously once I am back at work I really won't have the time anymore.
I really am sorry to everyone that this has affected!!

dawnlylou you ought to be commended for taking the bull by the horns and even bothering to do them in the first place. You have in fact been nominated for post of the month which is an indication of how much it is appreciated.
I'd love to see a poll created so we can put this to and fro to rest. Do you want them to stay.. or do you want them to go? I'd create one only I don't know how.
I did a snap shot of 15 people who actually thanked me for the 12/02 comps ending thread and it was VERY interesting. 50% of them had joined MSE in the last 6 months. 75% of them had posted a message under 100 times. I'd love to compare that against those people being the most vocal that these lists are useless and hurtful.
