There is better things in this world to worry about than a end date, I've had the crappiest week imaginable what with me being ill and James' dad being very poorly in hospital and I've come back to all this nonsense, in the grand scheme of things this is pathetic.


I've found the last few months on here completely disheartening (and I'd be the same if I wasn't a board guide) what with all the squabbles and people wanting to change the way the board is run.


I've said it before and I'll say it again, this board should be fun a place to come and enter comps and chat to like minded people, if you don't like it then there is other places to go, maybe they will be more accommodating in what you want


Sorry if that sounded crabby, but its been a long week for me, I'm tired and fed up of all the narkiness on here and I feel sorry for divadee seeing her board going this way

The board has been going for 4 years now, and all the board guides feel that it has been running fine as it was.

We are not adverse with change and do as much as we can to please teh majority of compers. But as the site grows and we get more and more comps posted the rules ned to be enforced that little bit more.

I respect any decision made by any BGs here - but I do want to apologise if I messed things up for anybody by implementing the whole 'comps ending' malarky.

Now lets all let bygones be bygones and get comping!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I for one have not had a win in an awfully long time and I have to return to work soon so probably won't get the chance to enter comps any more in a few days time

I love competitions, only had computer since Jan. Feel Like new girl at school.

I have been thanking people, and have looked at information, I,m always on the lookout for new comps, but they already seem to be listed.
Any words of advice would be appreciated. :A

And I have publicly and privately sympathised over the week you have endured kipper. I truly understand what it's like. My partner suffers from a long term illness and their mother is suffering extreme levels of debilitating anxiety and I'm often having to rush to hospital at the drop of a hat.

I hope one day people will see I've attempted (possibly misguided) to help for the greater good of the board. What currently seems petty will lead to the smoother running of the board in general.

Imo, I go through the board. from most recently posted, and work my way down.
I have enjoyed using the comp end list, but tbh, it has meant I haven't had enough time to go through my usual way of things.

If I miss some comps because of the way they are posted, then so be it. I've probably entered as much as I can anyway in the time that I've got.

I come on here, enter some comps, (according to hubby, already spend to much time on here!) and just enjoy the banter on here, well usually anyway.

the discussions thread is at the top of the comps page and there is lots of advice in there for you

in general -
enter as many comps for more chances of winning! sometimes you get no wins for a while then several at once
you will find the board a friendly spot to be (most of the time anyway:D)
you will pick things up as you go along
alot of the comps do get posted quickly but just keep your eye out and you will get some soon:D
