  • Not read this whole thread but if people have problems still try this for the forum and just the IP Address for the main site.

Still not working for me - I'm on Orange! Why would it just suddenly stop working anyway??

I thought it might have been a DNS error possibly with certain ISP's but if the IP is not working either I have no idea what it might be.

Strange that this happens so often.

thanks for the suggestion ,but like the other poster, they don't work for me either. It looks like th problem is at Orange's end, but the chances of them actually doing anyting are slim.

    Edit:
I posted on www.orangeproblems.co.uk and some bright spark there has posted a solution that actually works!
go to http://blockedsiteaccess.com/ and put in the address, and you get through that way. Amake sure your anti virus stuff is up to date before going forward, just in case....

Thanks for that, it does actually work. I changed to the Open DNS and it still didn't work. Should I change everything back to the way it was - finding the IP address automatically????

Thanks I'll try it. I'm on Orange broadband and haven't been able to get on DS for days. All other internet OK.
  • I did try it but still no luck. Can't get on any of the DS links at all. Im sure it must nbe an Orange problem.
  • Aha! I haven't been able to access Digital Spy since Thursday and was assuming their website was down until I found they were posting news on google.

So glad to hear it's a DS/Orange problem and others are affected.

I used to have a website and I remember one time when Virgin Media ISP users were prevented access from all sites hosted with the co my site was hosted with. Turns out both companies had run conflicting updates to their sites simultaneously. It was fixed within 2 days though after they got their heads together pretty quickly.

I expect DS and Orange are in contact and trying to fix it. Now that the weekend is over, they may actually do something.

Here is Orange's contact form to send them an email http://www.orange.co.uk/knowledgebase/webforms/contactus/formWBO.cfm

(p.s. thanks to the person who posted the link to blockedsiteaccess.com - it works as a temporary measure).
  • it is not working for me at the moment - each time I try to use the site I get a pop up asking me to download a php file?!?!?!

    Hope it is fixed soon
