My experience of the canaries is limited to

Costa Teguise on Lanzarote family orientated so not to noisy and some nice eating places.

Playa de las americas on Tenerife which is noisy and great for a hol with the lads.

Menorca has a short summer season. It's climate can be slightly harsher than its neighbours (Majorca, Ibiza). You will notice that the trees on menorca are all bent in the same direction due to prevailing winds (which don't occur in summer). That said you might hit lucky and get a good week. Given the choice I'd head for the Canaries for pretty much guaranteed mid twenties sunshine. C Del Sol and C Blanca would be next as both would offer a slightly more predictable spring like climate than the balearics.
    Timmay!
  • Thanks for all the tips guys!

I'm just looking at Alicante (C Blanca) - the flights are even cheaper than to Menorca, and so are the hotel prices. Hmmm....and the weather looks better too.

Alicante -v- Menorca - you decide!

It seems you have still dismissed the Canaries, just wondered why?

The weather in spain will not be as good as the canaries.
  • puerto del carmen was always alright in lanzarote ...not sure what it's like now but it was an all round resort appealing to most tastes
