Well I have no idea who it is and I dont want to know
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say this may be a genuine misunderstanding about copyright; however, anyone setting up a blog or a website has a responsiblity to make sure it legal just the same as if writing a book. Internet copyright is being pursued as thoroughly as published copyright these days and quite rightly so... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

As a lot of you know I'm writing a blog for MSE'ers and I try to write something 'interesting' every day. When I saw Penny Pinchers blog I did feel like I may as well give up because hers is so professional and I didnt feel like I could make one of such value.
Now I know she is just knicking bits of everyone else I feel angry because I know what work goes into writing something that you hope people will enjoy. The last thing you want is someone else pretending it theirs.
Get a conscience penny pincher and dont steal other peoples hard work :-(
What she said!!! :T... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

She's quite probably made a mistake with regards to the copyright issues. I think most of us have posted copyrighted recipes at some point on here.
Yes, the pics are misleading but it's hardly the crime of the century.
With people saying "I know who she is" I doubt this poster will be back which would be a shame.
For example, from the blog (Source:

When meal planning, do it in chunks you can cope with. For example, if you can only cope with a 2 week plan, then that is all you need to do.
Some people would bake double amounts during that 2 weeks and freeze the extra’s so that they can get 3 weeks worth in reality.
One very good tip my Mum gave me was this:-Be sure to plan your left overs
If you’re making Spagetti or Lasange, one night, make up double the sauce, either put the spare half in the fridge to make a pasta bake on day 3 or, freeze it for another time.
If you are making a meal with mashed potatoes, make double, then in your menu planning, consider using the extra mash for another meal - making Shepards Pie, Fish Cakes, Bubble n Squeek, potato cakes etc.,
A casserole is a great way to eek out the cooking process, menu planning game and the budget! Leftover casserole can be made into a pie (either a mashed potato topping type pie or shortcrust pastry); it can be pureed to make the base for your soup.
When I first began menu planning, I attacked it and knuckled it down using a couple of methods until I’d streamlined it.
1) I wrote on the calender what we’d eated that day (a pattern began to form!)
based on that I then:
2) Shopped for what I believed I needed then used the shopping receipt to draw up a menu plan
By doing both, I eventually worked out just how much I was spending!!! Then, a few nip and tucks - voila - a more cost effective, less stress way to feed my hungry brood
Now, compare that to:-

Nice website Shirl or is it Sherl (on the clip)???!!!
I was going to comment but it vanished....
Also meant to say you didn't seem nervous and came across well!
Thanks for that Fran. Its Shirley, Shirley Ann actually and when the magazine came out my children started calling me Angelina Ballerina - hence the Angelina!
The show got my name and address wrong but they sorted it out on their website within an hour, bless em!
Queenie I feel for you honestly. I have found my blog words under a picture of a latin looking lady!
It may be seen as funny but putting it another way, I spent months writing a project for my degree. I worked really hard to get a good grade. I wouldnt have been too happy if someone could just come along, pick up my work and hand it in as theirs. Its really not fair.0 -

Thanks rosieben

They are such individuals and everyone loves them. I've had loads of people asking me when I'm going to update them about little Dave and the twins!0 -
Just seen on Pennypinchers website.Sorry folks i am having trouble at the mo just posting links
Oopps!! Apologies!
I have just read through the mse old style thread and seems as though I have been upsetting people! eekkk!
I did not mean to cause anyone offence, I have put some of my favourite os recipes/tips on here that I found on mse.
I thought that because it is a public domain and anyone can view them that it was public property and I was just hoping to share the recipes with others, in an effort to spread the old style word??
This is a genuine mistake on my part.
Anyway, consider my hands slapped and I have taken off what I regard as the offending items. please accept my apologies Martin and mse people"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -

I'd agree. Some blogs (and i don't personally read them) are absolutely *full* of other people's work. Some of them even link your blog to theirs, in the hope that you'll send traffic their way - usually money or advertising is involved with that. those blogs do give full credit, but in my view is just as bad as outright plagiarism.
However, i know from experience of writing my own blog, sometimes in keenness to share a really fantastic recipe, you do post other people's recipes (with full credit). its completely unavoidable if you cook on a regular basis and you want to share things. there is a balance however, and Queenie's post, where she showed that parts of her posts have been taken, word for word, and passed off as the blogger's own, demonstrates very neatly where that line is.
It is important to give credit - not just at the time, but later, if it becomes necessary. At one point, for example, on the D&DD "feed a family of 5 from storecupboards" thread, people were referring to "kethry's onion marmalade recipe" and i felt i had to put it straight - its not my recipe, but an Oded Schwartz one from a book (and i found a copy on the net).
oh and rosieben, Essex-girl: thankyou. *blush*. glad you enjoy
Just as an aside, i looked at the latest posting of pennypincher: she's apologised and removed the offending posts. I think maybe, apart from general discussion of where the line is in terms of posting stuff from other people, that's where it should end, myself.
