There you are Martin, another use for your bra then;)
My husband would say that if you took the wires out from mine, they'd make great scaffolding.:D
Incidentally, when we had to call out the engineer because the washing machine wouldn't work, he told us that the most common fault was because of wires coming loose from bras.0 -
The most common reason why a pump doesn't work - yes.
One of the worst jobs was trying to clear the innards of all the stuffing that came out of someone's favourite teddy bear! On the subject of use bras, I gavemine to our local breast cancer charity, who wanted bras for a mural being done at the local art college.A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0

MonkeyGirl wrote:Thank you for all the sane and insane ideas lol. I never knew it would get so many replies. For the person who copied from Martins Blog. I can assure you my bras are clean well as clean as they will come up after years of wear lol. I must admit I do like the idea of the bra swapping party that has made me chuckle. Some of the other ideas were really good. Well done old stylers :T
If they are just looking all grey and tatty, milton sterilising fluid will bring them up all white again. May stretch out their useful life a bit longer.
As for cheap bras, Figleaves had another sale on the other week and there are some £10 off vouchers on the Discount Vouchers board.0 -
Thinking about it seriously, you could use the cups for lace bags as someone pointed out, eg for lavender bags or almond bags at a wedding. The wire could be used for general repairs etc. The straps/clips could be reused to lengthen the waistband of trousers.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' what about elbow or knee pads... you could whip them out (as it were) at a dinner party to protect bare elbows on table (of course they shouldnt be on there in the first place) but kids cud use em.
what about knee pads so they can slide (and clean) laminate floor.... ooo think i mite try that one ...
OH OH NO>>> i know... a bloke could use one cup to keep his beard from blowing around if its windy... or if he works in the food industry to stop stray hairs falling into food!!!!

How about...
...cutting the cups out, sewing them together in pairs and filling with dried beans.
Ta da! Lacy beanbags! (You could make them half black and half white, and use them for juggling.)
And now a more sensible one...
Cut the hook parts off both sides, sew them together and use as a bra-extender to hook into the back of one of the other too-small ones, so you don't need to throw them away after all.A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
my 3 yr old (9 yrs ago) said "why does dad have fur trousers and you dont mommy".....
