Just thought I would add that poundland are selling scrapbooking packs that would also do for anyone into card making. You get 1 sheet of stickers, 6 12" x 12" pretty paper sheets and die cuts and frames. They are themed for girls, boys, weddings, birthdays and spring in our branch. Very good value for £1.Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I agree this thread has really motivated me this year . I love reading what everyone is doing , and how they are getting on with thier Christmas preparations.
Have to share the pressie i bought today ..........Its for my Mum and her Sister, I usually spend at least £20 each on them .
I heard about a Christmas Country & Western concert that was coming to a nearby town , music of Shania Twain , Patsy Cline etc ( Those into Country music will know who i mean ) well they both love country & western music, and Im taking them , ....its on Nov 22nd, so they have to have thier Christmas a bit early , but are SOOOOOOOO excited about going .
Tickets only cost £12 each so i saved some pennies too , and they said its the best present theyve had in years .....theyre both in thier 70's ...........

Bump!
The ads are on the telly now so this thread deserves to be a wee bit nearer the top of the board.
First Christmas shopping day coming up on Saturday, We're travelling down to Chester with work. Can't wait. Its costing us £6 for three of us to go, which is fab considering its quite a distance. Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Don't talk to me about Christmas shoppers - went into York to just get a couple of bits on Saturday afternoon - a special stamp for wedding invites and to pay money into the building society (coins) for both things I had to go into the city centre and could only go on a saturday as I work in the week - it was awful - totally full of ditherers, people trying to madly grab any old piece of tat for presents - it's not even half way through November  .
I'm going to try and do as much as I can from fair trade websites and then online book retailers etc. getting a few oxfam unwrapped style things but will go in first thing this saturday to go in the fair trade shop in the city centre and have a voucher for Borders to use and want to look for something in there. Will try and be in and out by 10 though.
