oh, also, this might have been suggested - any new build flats/houses which are 'sticking' and can't be shifted by the builder because of the housing slow down?? They might appreciate a long term let as an alternative to it being up for sale for goodness knows how long. Obviously this would mean they'd have to take it off the market though !

Another thought would maybe be to ask estate agents if they have had properties for sale that are not budging at all and to ask the vendors if they would be interested in a long let to you whilst the housing market settles down a bit.

Again a long shot but desperate times and all that.xxxx

Thanks Triker - have been proposing this as an alternative with approachable Agents and also asking about personal landscape scouring - someone off to OZ for a year; friend's cousin's etc., someone moving in with partner, keeping own home for income etc.etc.- anything, anything.
This April Legislation is a real bugbear, apart from the general shortage of affordable, rentable housing that we know about.
I have one callback for tmrw - that is just for 2-beds(but given the school change in Sept, a 6-month holding move need not be disastrous -IT'S MONDAY NIGHT WE'RE DESPERATE FOR). LL is female and can't be reached atm, but we must try all.

I'd like to thank(UNPROMPTED) Karen at Halls, Tara at Home Counties, Brian at Brian Finn, Mark at Your Move, Pat at Darwoods Residential Lettings, Jeremy at Space Lettings, Jackie at County Rentals, Chris at Daniels, and Elise at Nash Ptnrshp.

They all, if initially in the course of duty, were MORE than professionally courteous and decent - EVERY SINGLE ONE WISHED THEY COULD DO MORE AND MADE SUGGESTIONS OF ANY HELP THEY COULD MUSTER, WHILST BEING REALISTIC ABOUT THE VERY DIFFICULT CHALLENGE FACED.

Have checked Herts Advertiser and St Albans Review(suggestion from Chris, as above, who says their private small ads are usually more fertile hunting ground). St Albans Review won't proceed beyond first page. Will try later.

    Hello everyone,

Spoken with HB dept who are coming back to me with a figure of what the highest amount of HB will be for me and have an appt with CAB to confirm this next week as I need to see a Specialist Advisor.

Then, I'm afraid I took myself off to T & D's for some respite - T has agreed to come with his van at the weekend to move me out AND he has said that he will be able to store my small amount of belongings at his factory unit to save on any more storage costs:T .

Solicitor just rang and said she has written a 'letter before claim before Judicial Review' with regard to my temporary accomodation, and once she receives the section 202 letter (STILL not got it!) she will be giving it to the Barrister to check over for any points of law that she can take to appeal at court.

I also would like to take a step back from publicity at the moment as I am finding it extremely hard to cope with what I have to do to just move out of here and into something else, and I have also had advice from the solicitor on this who feels we need to 'cool things' for a while until we know what is happening with regards to appeal and a possible court appearance.

But whilst I appreciate all that has been done with regard to publicity by some of you here, could I please ask that you support me for the time being in finding another property and any possible appeal?

Thank you all of you xx

Wow! Ampersand - this is such good work - thank you! I now feel really guilty about taking 'time out' but I'm afraid I was crying so much that I knew that each rejection I got would send me further into the 'black hole' of yesterday and I just cannot go there again today:o

    Don't you dare, dear mot.
And it's not 'good work' - just donkey stuff and irrelevant until we find you somewhere.
