We have a storage unit which we pay £60 pm for, it's a large one. Obviously, as its on the Welsh borders, it's not very practical but I wondered if you might find something similar. It's not the sort of place that would have a website, but it is in yellow pages. I searched on yell.com for Hertfordshire and there do seem to be a few, but obviously I have no idea of where they are in relation to you. Just a thought.....

I need to eat and get out of here. The food won't walk from the shops to my kitchen :rotfl:

I'll check back later.

Just a thought Mot but can you post a rough idea of how much it will cost you to move  Things like
Getting stuff out of storage
Moving present stuff out
Deposit and security
Rough rental cost
It might give some idea of overall target ;)
At the moment we are in HA accomodation through the council paying £141.02 a week for a 1 bed flat:eek: although HB pay £66.71 towards it at the moment. I have seen a 3 bed mid terrace ex council property on Rightmove for £875 a month - no details as to now much deposit needed but I guess a month or 6weeks rent up front as a deposit plus one months rent in advance(cheapest I can find), so will need to find out how much HB would pay towards that (do I just ring them up to find out?). I am storing the rest of furniture at the moment in 5 containers with a removal firm and they are charging me a minimum of £235 per month (depends on how many days in the month) as for moving - well the things from here could possibly be moved for free if I can get some help, but the rest of my stuff from the containers will cost approx £950 - £1000 to get back out and into the new property:eek: .

So as a very rough idea and I don't want to frighten anyone but...

£1000ish to removal of storage
£200ish to pay this months balance on removal firms storage
£1279ish 6wk deposit
£875ish one month rent advance
£0 free moving costs due to MSE help

Total Approx (Look away Mot) £3354 :o

In the property you are in now it seems HB pays just under the 50% mark towards the rent so after these very rough costs they should be able to pay about half of the rent

OK I need another coffee :rotfl:

• If you are thinking of TV programmes, what about The Wright Stuff? wrightstuff@five.tv I love that show, lol, and they have politicians on the panel from time to time. Would be interesting.
