Aldi and their weekly specials, this time this lot available in stores from 7th July

got high spec laptop £999, too expensive for me!
19" SXGA TFT Monitor, £199, but you can get it slightly cheaper at office world clearouts inc. online, they might all be gone though, dont know

But they have a 250gig internal hard drive, 7200rpm. 8mb cache, 3 yrs warranty with telephone support! at only £79.99
    looks a decent buy

DVD Burner at £59.99, though I would go for pioneer 109 instead, available at around £50

    Shopping Tips
Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

Forget memory pillows - they are also doing fulfilling pillows that give you more stuffing than the conventional ones . :o

And only cost £4.99 per pair.
Forget flat-as-a-pancake pillows or scrunched up 'softies' spoiling your sleep - these 'Full Filling Plump Cushions' contain much more stuffing than most for a more comfortable night's snooze.Cover: cotton cambric.

I got the last GERICOM laptop from ALDI and it was utter crap, the first one I had, the touchpad kept on breaking, and the second one already had someone's name on user accounts, with a Jenna Jameson desktop and plenty software and *ahem* !!!!!! installed. If I was a nasty piece of work, I could have concocted a story and took the idiots to court over that.

What if a mother bought it for her 11 year old daughter going into primary school?

Probably due to people taking advantage of the lenient returns policy as mentioned in other threads. I'm still in the hunt for a new laptop!

And the MEDION wireless router looks a decent buy, I've had MEDION products before and they tend to be excellent value for money.
