• There's a site where you can download shed plans instantly. You get 12,000 shed plans and shed designs for £28 (which works out at around £16). However you get your first shed plan FREE! Well worth a look even for the free shed plan.

PM me and I'll send you the link. Happy shed building!
• Sorry if I'm a bit late to the party but I think I know the site that jimslim means as my hubby has just started building our new garden shed with a plan he got free from WoodenStorageSheds(dot)info He said he the site offered about 12,000 plans for thirty odd dollars, but he couldn't be bothered reading the whole site and thought why pay for it. So he signed up to their mailing list and downloaded a plan for a 12' x 8' shed for free.
Now I've just got to make sure he knows it's for the lawnmower and garden stuff, NOT his little hideaway from me and the kids or his own miniature brewery:beer:

Hope this helps
Louise

If you want to PM me I will forward you a copy of the plans for nothing... after all that's what it cost us :D
• well i drew up my own plans :) for a 20 x 10 foot shed would have cost me over £1000 and a heavy delivery charge on top of that aswell probably £200-£300 and these flat pack sheds are useless......flimsy slightest bit of wind and that and there no use really.

and after a year or 2 the roof starts caving in its just really cheap crap they are made of 8mm cladding? that wont last long
osb sheet on roof? that wont last either slight water on that and its going to absorb and the sheets are wrecked.

i drew my plan on a program "google sketchup" its easy enough to use after you get the hang of it :)

my shed consists of 2 gables @ 10 foot wide x 2 meters high and they are 4 x 2" timbers mainley because heavy doors on one and shelfing on the other at the back of the shed :)

the sides are made of 3x2" timbers @ just under 20ft. and cladded and had a rise on the roof of 720mm and a run of 6 foot 4x2 rafters sheeted with osb then wrapped in breather membrane.

:) can pictures be attached on here?

anyway my shed cost me about £700 including 2 cube of readymix concrete and thats nowhere near what a flimsy shed would have cost itl be here for many years to come :) fingers crossed its still up and fine after gales and 120mph winds :)

free plans for a 10x8 shed. easy to modify to suit your own requirements.

google is your friend!

that would be a good plan but the plans a bit odd because its got "skids" (studs/uprights) every 300mm 12" not even house kits have them that close 600mm would be perfect for the studs to be apart same with the rafters.
• I wanted to build a garden shed and greenhouse and liked these two for the use of corrugated iron rooves :
bettaliving.org/DIY/Detailed_plans/greenhouse/p1.html
and buildeazy.com/shed_1.html
For the greenhouse I followed these plans but a scaled down version, as my yard was a tight squeeze after building a garden shed:

bettaliving.org/DIY/Detailed_plans/gardenshed/p1.html

I'm just wondering if I can paint my greenhouse? Or is that a silly question to ask :o
• The cheapest large collection of "quality" shed plans that I've come across is at

theclassicarchives.com/shedplans

the rest of those guys are mostly junk plans that don't have a whole lot of details. These are pretty detailed. They have these 3D PDF files that I think are pretty useful.
• Here's a site with some free plans on it plansforsheds[dot]net - cant post links yet as im so new here!
• Hi all,
I'm new to the site. Just wanted to say I have several Shed plans & also some greenhouse plans (including a very nice Victorian greenhouse/conservatory) which I purchased from Ebay in the form of PDF files. If anyone is interested then feel free to send me a PM & I will send you them. :)
I would love a copy of the plans if you still have them. My email is: davrow5@gmail.com Thanks a million in anticipation
