I found a site which seems to have loads of useful information on this topic: http://www.homenethelp.com/connection-sharing.asp

Thanks very much for the link

I've had a read and looks like i'm going to have more trouble than I envisaged networking with aol broadband, just wish that they were more open with you about these things before you get tied into a damn contract

Remember you can get out of an AOL if you cancel before 1st August, and cancel for the reason of the change in charges for their support line - from freephone to 0870 rate number.

    Part of the Furniture
I currently have a PC (Windows 98) (which is upstairs) with a wired connection to my NTL set top box (which is downstairs) for internet connectivity. I want to add a laptop into the equation and permit internet access from it. Can anyone suggest which wireless products I now need to get to this set-up both in terms of ease of set-up and cost and recommedations in terms of suppliers. Thanks,

Yes, a lot of people have done this successfully - You don't even have to give 30 days notice. See the broadband message boards on AOL for people who have done it. - As long as you give that as the reason for cancelling.

    Thanks

I get really 'hacked off' with company's who take my order, and more importantly my money, and then don't tell me that they're out of stock of the product.
(I'm not a money lender and I object to companies using my hard earned cash to finance their business).
Am I really expected to believe that these people don't have a proper stock control system??

As my router hasn't arrived I took a look at Special Reserves 'tracking' webpage and found that the product is on 'back order' on some unspecified time. (I suppose that warning bells should have rung earlier when I read the 'airy-fairy' acknowledgement of my order, but of course by then they'd already taken the money).

My congratulations goes to those that have managed to get their order fulfilled, but one must ask how many of us customers are still waiting??

Presumably you're aware that the networking kit doesn't contain a router?
Thanks to all who post constructively.
