Let me know people!
I've used them before with no problems in the past , would recommend them.Signature what signature....0 -
specialreserve are a fairly decent company and they've been around for a long time so I don't think it's that. More likely that very few people are interested in wired networking nowadays, most people go for wireless...certainly in the home environment I would think.0

I dont use that, I have a wireless router, but i need to extend the number of wired ports as i have run out of ports as there are only 4 wired, and i have 3 wired systems, 1 ps2, and other items, and now im out, but its worth it beacause its a switch and its got the network adaptors, (they will end up on eBay)0

One warning, specialreserve are part of the same firm as getdotted and freeola. Both the latter send out loads of spam to just about every address you have. The also still send me letters stating that my domains are about to run out and I should renew them with them now or lose them. I moved them away over 3 years ago.
So make sure you use an online email addy and not one that matters.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
I use wired network... Cheaper and more reliable in my book. I believe its faster too?
Thanks!

That sounds amazingly cheap to me, but admittedly I haven't researched properly (naughty me)
Two pounds for delivery still makes it less than a tenner delivered
I had to change two boxes to make sure I didn't receive any junk emails or junkmail, as there was a second tick box sneaked in later on in the purchase processThanks to all who post constructively.

Yes i am one for wired networks, except for my laptop, wires just dont fail, never drops ever. beacause come on, even the best of wireless networks drop just the once, and wired is much more solid, all systems wired unless its not possible or its a laptop!
Anyone seen any good deals for Wired Gigabit RouterS? I have seen them about, but are very expensive!0 -
I also heard that if you have wireless and don't set a password other people who live nearby can use your broadband internet connection! Thanks to all who post constructively.

Yes!! You should definantly secure it up, i can do one scan now and i can connect to three networks, just shows people arnt being secure, and i can use their connection if i wished.
Should always secure connection with an Encryption Key at least WEP if not WPA-PSK.
Also MAC filtering is advised.
Anyone need any help with wireless networks - drop me a line.0
