HSDPA is commonly known as 3.5G which os what allows speeds of upto 3.8MBps instead of 3G speeds of 384KBps

Why cant I use it then?
  • It would need to be loaded onto the handset i.e t-mobile branded. N95's are pretty notorious for poor battery life and blank screen/rebooting, and the same issues have been reported with a lot of 8Gbs, if you get one that works you should be ok though

I'm considering changing the product code then updating to the generic nokia firmware. Should I ring T-mobile about this?
  • Just spoke to a guy on the phone. Apparently I can have HSDPA but I have to pay for web and walk plus which is an extra 8 pounds and apparently only increases my speeds by about 20 percent (he checked my postcode.) Doesn't seem worth it to me.
