My gf is going to help me manage my money a bit better and every week take out a allowance so thats all i can use for the week and she will keep my card. until i get into the ways of not spending all the time.
Also another thing, my debt will be clear with that wage end of auguest and will be saving for a few other things so you think best to just keep it in the cash account or transfer it into the savings account? really looking for best way of managing money on my accounts so it shows the bank i can handle money well for wen it comes up for upgrade in about 6 months time0 -
once my debts are sorted. I will be savings towards a wee car project i have but the thing i would like to know is do i just keep the money in the normal account as it will be getting withdrawn at some point or do i just transfer a little bit of money to my savings account and so it makes out i can save and handle money?
hope that makes sense0 -
Hi Hon,
As I said in an earlier reply to your post, I would save a little in a savings a/c and let the bank see you a) have money to save b) you can save it.
Also, you will get a little interest on the amount you save. What's the car project?~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -

It's admirable getting and doing two jobs to clear up your finances, but looking at the hours you would be working, when are you actually going to sleep? Night-shifts really drain the body and it takes quite a while to get used to them. By the time you get home and get to bed, to then have to start work again at 12/1pm ish is telling me you would maybe get about 4-5 hours sleep if you are lucky. Tiredness can kill, lose you your job and mess up your home life. Think carefully before you try to do a day job during the time you should be asleep following working a night job.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
Well before i started night shift i was working that sort of hours just for one company.
Night shift is fine i get used to it
my car project is just restoring my peugeot and making the engine faster :P , Reason am wanting to do 2 jobs is to clear my finances quickly and get some money saved for doing my project. I have always wanted to do things to the car but it would of meant of saving which am no good at but this time am going to make a go at it0 -

What three accounts do you have with the Bank Of Scotland? What bank are you going to, are the accounts with new bank open yet?fairmorn308 wrote:Should i close all 3 accounts i have with bank of scotland or keep them open?~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
I cant open the new accounts until another week of so cause i have just sent off my drivers licence 2day to have the address changed as its my old address and needs to be my current address so can use it as ID to open new account.
The bank of scotland its only a basic cash card account and 2 savings account but nothing in all 3 accounts tho but i have been with them for over 10years now.0
