I had a similar problem a while back in Winchester. I could hear people fine, but all they could hear was crackling and distortion (I called myself using another phone to check). Three did sort the problem after some time. They need to improve the network and also make the handover between 3g and 2g quicker. Some handsets do this fine, others are slow.0
