:)
42 inch plasma, wired to an amp and my 5.1 system... can't wait for the footy to start to test it out .... so no pub for me0 -
Well I have saved myself £258 per annum because I have cancelled my subscription. We only (adults) watch Uktv and Discovery home and leisure and I am sick to the back teeth of the kids arguing over who turn it is to have which channel. So bye bye sky. Keeping my box and card and will only have the free channels. But you know what I can read, when I lived alone I barely turned the tv on because I was an avid reader. Think I will take it up again.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz0 -
Kids off to uni in September so I think the Sky will be going anyway, we can't get Freeview here so we will lose everything but the 4 main channels. I could live without the tv to be honest but DH needs something to send him to sleep on the settee every night;)0

Have a look at what'll remain HERE.Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -
Does anyone know what will happen to people with Sky+ who (like me) take the basic movies and sports to avoid paying £10 a month sky+ fee. How will the new packages affect that? What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!
DFD - WAS: a while ago
NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
I'm one with Sky+ and I think those with the ordinary box will be having a laugh at us on this one.0

Just received a letter from Sky advising that monthly payment will go up to £21 from 1st September. There's no mention of the new package/pricing structure. Are we sure that the new set up is for existing customers or just new subscribers?
Time to give Sky a call I think.0 -
Called Sky this morning (08002 793366 just select option 1 if you're a customer, after the "welcome to the Disney channel" message!
The lady said they (customer services) knew nothing of these new packages and after going to ask someone she said that any changes will be advised and/or posted on their website ON OR AFTER the 1st September. She actually asked where I had got this information from - "a press release" was my answer. Whether she genuinely didn't know is debatable but she asked what the changes were and seemed very interested to hear about them.0
