Annoyed by an eBay noob
Comments

I tend to sell more than buy but I try to post within two days of receipt of payment and let people know when it has been dispatched.
I once had an email from someone the day after the auction ended (they paid by paypal immediately) saying they thought they would have received it by now. I wasnt too happy and made a comment in the feedback about being cheeky.
People are not superhuman, we do not sit by our computers waiting our auctions ending and then run straight out to the PO. Esp when most times people dont pay til the following day.
When im buying I tend to give people a good week before asking where my item is. Ive had very few problems. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -

Then emailed this monday to enquire if there was a problem. Still had no reply, just emailed again and mentioned item not received process - its now 10 days since payment. Its not just us noobs that cause the problems.
PS the item and postage were only £6.00, and hes already left pos feedback - not sure what to make of it?
A lot depends on how you paid? Was it by paypal or by cheque? If cheque, he/she may be waiting a few days for the cheque to clear first (I know it's odd for £6 but I've had it done to me). The fact that feedback has been left may mean that the seller is happy with payment and has posted the item, to you.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
I regularly buy and sell on Ebay. I always send my buyers and email thanking them on fast payment and telling them that I've sent the item. If I've sold an item and not checked Ebay till night then I send an email telling them that I hadn't checked ebay and there item will be posted the next day.
I think this is really important as I yet have never received an email from a seller telling me that the item is posted. In the past i've had to wait 17 days to get an item that i bought. An nice quick email would have put my mind at ease.A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0 -

Are you saying you think it's odd someone waits for a £6 cheque to clear?!? Blimey, I'm not going to assume ANY cheque will clear and send items out before it has done so, never mind one for a full £6
I don't think that's odd at all - perfectly sensible!0 -

That's what made me even more annoyed - they clearly hadn't even checked their email because if they had they would have seen the dispatch notice.0 -

I think maybe they were trying to "guilt-trip" me with the statement about chicks dying.
I sent the stuff almost by return so if it's bye bye chickies it's their fault :AEveryone loves Magical Trevor.

Maybe the buyer thought you were going to come and feed the chicks yourself .LOL.
Twits eh? (twoos?)I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Referring to earlier can someone please explain to me what a "noob" is??
