Do you know any of the local post office staff as I said earlier I would pop in there and give them the amount and the day in went missing ask if they could check if it has been cashed there. I'm sorry but odd or not you wouldn't shred a letter you had just signed for and then not mention it until someone knocks your door looking for it.0

1: or perhaps thought they were saving them a trip to collect the item?
where exactly does it state that delivery personnel can do this? could you provide me with any official RM literature?
what they think does not matter, they are paid to do a job, they should stick to it rather than trying to act clever, the fact of the matter is this postman/womans "smart" thinking has cost someone money and caused quite a bit of distress, had the postie simply done what was required and stuck a small card through the letterbox advising to collect from delivery office none of this would have happened.
the idiot in question obviously couldnt be bothered to get a pen out of the pocket and write a few small details down.2: nice, hope your views would be so strong in the real world rather than over a keyboard
they are, i can assure you
people who have no regard for the consequences of their actions need to be put straight.0 -

my,my arent we the troubled one.
so the postie tried at the address and then went to another address and knocked there.
then obtained a signature
whether you think so or not many people are gratful when a postie does this or similar. writing a card would most likely have taken less time.
dont you think?
i deal every day with people moaning about having to come to the delivery office.
however i can see you have issues and just by your style of writing are just the type of person i relish dealing with on a daily basis in the office.
makes a nice change from the junkies on my duty.
well actaully not that big a change

thats the point you dont seem to understand, just becuase people moan about coming to the delivery office, doesn't mean you should accept someone's mail being delivered to their neighbours place, and that too when the intended recipient hasn't even been notified, so whats your excuse of the postie not notifying the intended recipient?
the fact is, however you look at it, the chap hasn't done his job properly!0 -
Your wasting your time custardy, this type of person is not to be reasoned with and anybody who can call anyone such derogatory names when he doesnt even know them doesnt deserve any attention.my,my arent we the troubled one.

oh well hold on and i will drop everything for you.
life isnt black and white.
same as when i go out after my delivery is finished to take items around for a 2nd attempt to get rid of them
same as me returning to the office so people can collect the same day than wait 24/48 hours.
i dont have to and its not in rm's procedures.so perhaps i should follow the set procedures and let my customer suffer.
maybe you are happy to collect items but for my customers it can be over 7 miles and i know they appreciate going that bit extra to save them the journey.
i can happily listen to you rant and whine all day,
spouting like a keybord gangster but thankfully dont have to.
safe in the knowledge you would be as nice as pie if we were face to face,or would you call me an idiot or pathetic excuse for a human being in person? i would be very impressed if you did0 -
nice post custardy, might get you a sympathy vote in the argument but doesnt answer my question!
the postie in question left an item at the intended recipients neighbours place without prior instruction and then to add further misery, didn't even bother to notify via a small note or similar. justifiable?0 -
well since i dont know the postie nor recipient i cant answer can i?
it maybe he/she has done this loads of times for the op.
i know many courier drivers leave items for me with neighbours.
should i go out and start a witch hunt on them?
my postie signs for my rd's and puts them through for me.
saves me hassle as my office is open 2 hours later than my local delivery office.
seems to me i wouldnt expect my neighbours to lose an item they accepted for me.
as for sympathy? sorry i dont need sympathy.these shoulders are big enough to take anything thrown at me
i think this is the last i will reply to you.its not helping the OP and TBH not helping your image on the forum IMO.
i stand by the fact you would never speak to me nor the postie in question in person like you do in your posts.
classic keyboard gangster0
