this one ended early, i assume someone offered a high buy it now on it.
Why would they sell for alot? they dont look special!
Yep - they were only out for a limited period of time and if it is your child's favourite, you can't get them in the shops anymore.
My daughter's favourite is a Care Bear comforter. Two years ago these were selling for around the same price but they are now down to practically nothing. Presumably the children are growing out of them and don't 'need' them to sleep anymore (not in our case, I might add)

I heard the Blue Peter badge buying frenzy on ebay was due to people wanting to take advantage of the discounts (at theme parks, etc) offered to badge holders.
I think either Blue Peter put a stop to the sales, or they withdrew the discount, either way, I don't think they're selling as well now
(I have one of the boring circular ones)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Original board games from Mattel etc. They don,t make them like they used to.Anything to do with atari, pacman, spaceinvaders etc will be a winner also.
Theres an 80,s retro thing going on at the moment so maybe even clothes, especially t-shirts.If you still have that "frankie says relax" t-shirt in the back of the wardrobe it could sell for a fair bit."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Crikey - I'm gonna have a rummage through the loft tomorrow, I've got a complete set of A-Team action figures, loads of Corgi cars and various other toys.
The only thing I'm not selling (which would make a whole LOT of cash) is my Hornby railway set - it was worth a fortune in the 80's so god only knows how much it is worth now!!0 -
Hornby goes up and down faster than a ...um, not sure what.
Some Hornby is very very collectable and if it is still boxed may be worth a lot. other Hornby won't even fetch the original selling price. You could try taking a peek on ebay to see if you could be tempted to sell!
I bought some mixed Hornby lots at auction for some knock down prices thinking I would turn them out on ebay and make real money. I broke even on some, I took a loss on other bits but some tatty old rolling stock that I was tempted to bin netted me £7 . I never did figure that one out. The prices I paid were always less than the original selling price.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
