Having met Ruth I can only say that she is a warm, friendly and very professional presenter/journalist. She seems very genuine. Why comment on her attire? I mean look at Martin's shirt, (but use sunglasses!)
My 12yr old daughter thinks she's great too!
Keep it up Ruth, great show both of you!

As another one who has met the lovely Ruth then frankly "BAH HUMBUG TO ALL YOU CRITISISERS" :rotfl: she's lovely! And thankfully she's a sensible sort won't unconstructive critisism get to her!
Poor lass was here for 7am last saturday filming with the crew and if anyone looks rubbish tonight it'll be me! :rotfl: We were all sat at Tescos trying to look like we hadn't just rolled out of bed and some of us hadn't just put our contacts in the wrong way wrong (it was early ok! i wasn't awake!) and she kept her sense of humour throughout so *blows rasberry* at people who don't see the point of her! hehe
And don't forget there will be a lot of people who don't know who Martin is (yes they ARE out there!) and to them it would probably be too much of a shock on the system to have half an hour of JUST Martin :)

Ruth you're beautiful and fab so carry on and when I slim down enough I wanna borrow the skirt please! :D

You can please some of the people all of the time etc,etc

Keep up the good x I mean GREAT work.
  • I was happy to see Ruth too - it's good for Martin to have a co-presenter to work with, and it allows them to have conversations as well, and perhaps Ruth could ask Martin the questions that the viewers would want to ask him, but can't because TV is, for the most part, a one-way medium (from the studio to your TV).

Even BBC 2's Working Lunch has 2 presenters, although that's possibly aimed at a different audience to IPTW. And, yes, I have watched it before :D. Does that make me sad?

With the Jan 9th show being the pilot, there probably wasn't as much put down for Ruth (and I'm talking articles here) as she or Martin would've liked, but I'm sure that'll change over the weeks ahead.

Ruth gets my vote too - she is a fab and witty girl.

I am sure the nerves for the first programme WERE massive - today's programme already seems more "collective".

Keep up the good work guys, and see you in a few weeks!!

  • I just hate her because she's prettier than me :rotfl:

Seriously though I think she's lovely! Don't know what all the fuss is about!

Give the girl a chance!!! I thought she was fab and both her and Martin work well together. Besides, he would go into hyperdrive without someone else to bounce off :p;):D

I can only think of some words to say in the way of Al Pacino in 'Scent of A Woman'

    HooooWahhhhh

She can interview me anytime, and that accent!!

Definately makes the show worth watching, besides you Martin!!

Not got anything against Ruth but seriously, when you are presenting a prime time television programme you are going to be judged on your wardrobe and your presentation. It wouldn't have been that hard to get clothes that fitted her well instead of one that is obviously not suitable for her?

You're presenting a whole image, so clothes count. :) I was distracted immediately by her attire and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.
