I actually hit 5 stars on 5346 and i was tempted to stop then, but went back down to 4 for 2 songs then back up to 5 for 5349 and 5350 to finish for the day on a nice round number :)

    Hi all,

I've used STP before the voucher system came into to play and have just returned to it.

When I first logged back in I was 3*, this immediately dropped to 2* (fair enough as I hadn't doen any reviews for a while). My accuracy has remained between 88-90% through out the reviews but after about 10 reviews I've dropped to 1* and am on voucher points!

I've seen a few pages back other folks have mentioned this happening but I just wondered why?

Will I now have to raise £5 in vouchers before my *rating improves again?

Sorry if this has been answered, but I've scanned back ad can't see it.

I thought the vouchers were for newbies, where as I've been a member since 2007

    aha...

After a run of very average tracks my accuracy improves but my star rating drops

then after a track I loved and rated accordingly (but perhaps wasn't everybody's cup of chai) my accuracy drops but my star rating goes up!

    now i get it!

    It's not all about accuracy

I think its to do with the scores you allocate - if you rate all the tracks within the middle score range, it seems to downgrade you.

I had run of very middle-ish average tracks which I gave middle-ish average scores to and was down graded to 1*,

... but then got a shouty chick-rock track that I loved and gave it an 8 (even though I know not everyone would feel the same) my accuracy % confirmed that not everyone agreed with me (as it dropped) however I went straight back up to 2*

So i figure this is STP's way of stopping everyone only giving middle-ish marks to maintain their accuracy - which i believe some people do.

Though there are an awful lot of tracks out there that deserve average marks and I suspect that if you rated everything as 2 or 9 this would reck your accuracy and you would lose stars!

Ohhh its all so confusing lol

On another note.. does anyone else seem to be getting loads of tracks that contain just the bass noise (not the instrument) in the gibson room (which Im loving), ive had about 4 now in the last 20 mins.

^^ It could be the same artist maybe? not sure!

Ermm (like d4n said) best thing to do if you have a 90%+ accuracy but less than 4 star rating, is wait for the next semi good song (hopefully within the next 2 or 3 songs) and rate it an 8. If theres any bad ones rate it a 3. It will most likely drop your accuracy down, but it smooths things out in the long run.

You just need to mix your ratings up a bit, and not just use the scores 4 - 7 all the time. Hope this helps a bit! stats so far:
