  • I am now resigned to never reaching the fabled 5 star status :)

    Scout rating: 4star.gif
    Reviewed: 1460

    Scout earnings: £93.56 / v1.00

    Ranking: 512th

I seem to be able to get up to this level pretty often.
  • what's your spread ? (ooeerrrr .. )
  • to be honest, I dont pay too much attention, usually in the 2-8 range (not too many 2's) a smattering of 1's and 9's occassionally, have actually rated 3 at 0 yesterday/today but not sure if anything has ever been a 10 for me.

EDIT: This is part of the reason when they changed the system I said I would be happy to try and maintain a 3 star rating, however with the reduction in payments, I tend to have to catch myself from chasing a higher rating.

i'd say you've probably had a run of 5's and 6's - if you rate too close together for more then 3 or 4 songs, the spread algorithm (whatever that may be :)) tends to kick in and essentially throws up a wall to that 5th star.

i'd play the game though - try and keep a good spread just to see if you get that 5th star just one time ..

you can go back to how you're doing it now after that.

i've decided i'm revising my targets from march as well. probably more to do with my financial situation altering, and improving a teeny amount. i'm going to aim for one withdrawal of £25 a month, and anything over that will be invested.

Thats a lot of investment on 50 tracks a day :)

This is my 3rd month of STP and at the end of this I'm going to see where I stand, so I can judge the new payments, from that point on I will see if I can withdraw £50 a month and invest the rest (if there is any) I reckon 40 tracks a day should give me approx £10 to invest.

well it's not really if you look at it that i'm probably going to be mainly a 2-3 star scout so i'll be earning about £1 - £1.50 a day on average.

nowadays i tend to underestimate what i'm going to earn because of the low payments, and anything over and above that is fine with me. if i average £1 a day, i'll take £20 and invest £10

    if I average £2 a day then i'll probably double that - take £40 and invest £20

we'll see - i may well end up dropping down to only 30-40 tracks a day myself.
  • What do people actually write for the reviews as I find myself writing similar things for each song.

  • it's difficult to write original reviews each time since a lot of the songs do sound the same.

how many more ways are there to say "well the lyrics are well written and the singer has a nice voice" ?

i often worry that STP will look at my reviews one day and decide to ban me for all of them being similar.
  • thanks for that.

Good to hear others are the same

  • How many reviews do you have to write before you can earn money? Sorry if its a noob question!
