New shiny slice the pie thread

I'm having a lot of trouble getting the new slice the pie track player to play, i've downloaded the new flash player and active X so I have no idea why its not working. If anyone could help I'd be really grateful

Sorry to hear that you are having some problems scouting... we'll look in to this for you and see if there is a short track that is preventing you from Scouting, if this is the case then we'll get it removed.
Sometimes if you log out of the site and close the browser you are using and log back in again you may get a new track which you can Scout.

to the best of my knowledge, there's a zero second track that has completely screwed the scout room, and because the STP team are on their christmas hols it probably won't be sorted until January the 5th at the earliest.

You might get a random song sneaking through but it's unlikely.

Just means i can call myself a 5 star scout for 2 years then

steve, 'the spread' is basically that - you need to be more willing to give bad tracks bad ratings and good tracks good ratings.

so if you hear a really good song that you think is worth an 8, then give it a 9. if you hear a phenomenal song that you think is a 9, give it a 10.

same goes for the other end of the scale - don't be afraid to give a song a zero or 1.

the main thing to bear in mind is that there is no hard and fast formula for scouting. you can't say "ok, all those types of songs automatically get a 5 .." and so on.

when i looked back at the last 30 songs i'd done before getting the 5th star, i saw that i'd rated 2 tens, 1 nine, 3 8's and absolutely NO zeroes, ones or twos. but then it's just the nature of the scout room - you'll just as likely be fed a stream of durge as you will a stream of great songs.

and after taking 2 days to get passed the track that last zero second I am now stuck getting the 3 mins 58 second track that gets stuck after 44 seconds and I cant get anything else,


grrrr - this is costing me a (small) fortune

I'm stuck on the 44 second track too... Wasn't my cup of tea anyway... haha.

if i cant rate tracks im not earning any money to reinvest/keep half for me.

i was hoping with the weekend off to nail a good 8 hours over sat/sun

but all i have managed to do is 4 tracks

8 hours @ 25 tracks per hour is 200 tracks

200 lots of .08p is £16

£8 for me £8 to invest
