Morning Guys and Gals

So yesterday i managed to do my first proper scouting session since the new system had been put in place and what a session it was
I scouted for about two hours,(luckily for me they seemed to have fixed the glitch i was having and i was playing tracks without a problem)

What did drive me mental was the following
I started as a four star scout, a reviewed two tracks went down to a two star,reviewed about 25 tracks went back up to a four star soon after that i was down to vouchers and by the end of my session i was back up to a two star

I understand the new system i just think all this star jumping is absolutely crazy how can you move about so much in such a short space of tracks the very fact that one minute you can be fourt stars then vouchers is just madness dont you think

Is anyone else finding there stars fluctuating so much, i wouldnt mind so much if i was able to stay on like 3 stars for a certain period of time but within ten songs that star changes to something else

Got my moan out i'll keep going though because i *heart* stp

the stars fluctuate all the time now for everyone. i think it's just a consequence of 'the spread' really, and also the apparent system that feeds you songs that don't have many reviews - there's no telling if you'll get a stream of tripe or a stream of good songs.

if you get a stream of tripe - as i did yesterday - and you rate fairly, you're going to drop stars and accuracy.

in the space of 20 songs yesterday i went from a 5 star scout to a 2 star scout.

At least i know its not just me, i'm going to continue to rate as i have been etc and just go with it and see what happens

ive been trying to withdraw for 4 days now and its still giving me error page.. anyone else having problems? Ive cleared out everything and im running on firefox

Edit,. oh and mines still not playing a lot of the tracks.. i just managed 2 and even when i refresh the next ones just wont darn play!

I've found that the best way to keep on top of the stars problem is to keep a running total of my last 30 scores on a sticky (not sure what the non-mac equivalent is of that). So each time I grade, I can see what the last 30 were, roughly, nad if I drop a star I can see prettty quickly that I need more low scores, or more highs. It worked really well yesterday - I only dropped once, and I could see that I needed something lower than a four to bring me back - luckly the next track was a particularly bad hip hop piece that I rated two, and my score immediately went back up to four. It's crazy that you have to do it like that (and what if I hadn't had a bad track? How long would I have put up with dropping down the ranks before I rated a good track bad to get my stars back?) but at least there is a way to keep it up.

the scout room on STP is still not really working properly - i think it's best to just get as many reviews in as you can, when you can really, and hope for the best.

i withdrew some money last monday to my bank account and it's not there yet - i knew it would be delayed due to christmas, but i'm hoping by not too much longer since i have some bills due out on Thursday !

I've just been on STP for the first time in ages and I'm really impressed with the new lay out. So far I'm not having any problems listening to the tracks, where as with the old system, for some reason I could only get them to play early in the morning! Any other time of the day was useless. With a bit of luck it will continue to run smoothly so I can earn some extra pounds!

Also, had some really great tracks this afternoon too.

Thanks for the email.
Sorry to hear that you are having some problems scouting... we'll look in to this for you and see if there is a short track that is preventing you from Scouting, if this is the case then we'll get it removed.
Sometimes if you log out of the site and close the browser you are using and log back in again you may get a new track which you can Scout.

Smamfer - that's not quite the one I got, but similar. The 0:00 track's still in the system, so we'll have to wait until after New Year (as jasonwatkins said) when the team's back for them to fix it completely as they've only been able to put in a temporary fix.

Btw, I've dropped to 2 stars, so I'm going to try and sort out my accuracy. I don't know if my opinions on some of the rap tracks (don't like the swearing, especially use of the "n" word) are lowering my accuracy...
