Hi
Wont nag you about the mag or shopping, all been there done that!
Have a great night.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Afternoon,
Not much to update at the minute. I've had 3 no spend days this week and i have been batch cooking.
I've been too busy planning everything for when the big musical houses takes place. OH hadn't thought we made need a cooker and washing machine
So that would have meant rushing out to a big out of town place and spending a fortune on something we could have got for half the price online!
Just had my marks though for our calls and I got 96% which is either a £10 or £20 voucher. So that can go into the Christmas pot!
Not feeling as down about things as I was the other week, but still quite stressed out and not sleeping too well. Think tonight I'll try to relax and get a proper nights sleep.
hope everyone is ok

Afternoon
On the late lunch today so just updating as I haven't been on here in while...
Had an ok week last week, managed to stay within PAP's budget and have added some coins to my pot. This month I should have a good pay day this month, but its still a week on Thursday..... It seems to be dragging more and more now.
Had a word with OH on Friday about everything and he didnt realise anything was wrong, as usual, and he has promised to be better about things, weather anything will actually change.....
I helped a colleage out at work the other day, shouted at him until he realised that it isnt a credit card but a debt card. He doesnt owe much (less than £1000) and when I pointed out he is paying more in interest every month than his min payment and all it would take would be a couple of months of carefull living to pay it all off... he was happy. I feel that is my good deed for this week.
Hope everyone is having a good day

I sat and worked out how much its going to cost us at the new house and scared myself silly. I think the mortage payment is going to be approx £1.5k a month! Council tax is £270 (10 months) also we will have oil and not gas so how much is that a month? Do you use more than gas?
I'm trying to work out water as well which I've done at double the amount I use at the min. Thankfully OH earns a decent wage and he can afford all this on his own but I don't like the idea of "spongeing" (sp?) off him, I want to pay my own way but I don't know if I can afford to. I might pay the TV and do the shopping as he would be useless at it, we would like on frey bentos and beans and sausages!
I've been getting quite stressed about everything I still have loads to sort out and they are giving me more responsibility at work, which is great, but I've had a headache for about a week and a half now that keeps coming and going and its starting to annoy me, I don't like taking too many painkillers but then my dad and grandpa both suffered with eplilepsy and we have always been extra carefull about headaches as it can be a sign of a fit,
anyway I'm babbling now and this isnt exactly DFW so I'll stop now.

I have been reading these posts and its surprising how debt can make people feel. I have registered with slice the pie also.:rotfl: I have not got a lot of debt but my friend (she won't come on here) I am trying to help her help herself. She is 25k in debt £60k mortgage, credit bad, no heating in house etc. She is just scraping by on £15k a month. She is doing volunteering to improve her feelings but I feel if she came on here lots of people would help her. Her username is sunshine32 and she did one post but did not reply to people and that was in Dec. If you search for the user you will find her.
But what can I do to help her more
I keep nagging her to get on here and try asking people but she hasn't so far. Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
Not much really except keep supporting her and offering advice if needed. Why not printout examples from here where people have asked for help such a needtosortit's diary for one?:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0

I know it took a lot of courage for me to come on here and start posting, I was scared people would find out who I was and then I would be so embarrassed/ashamed ect....
If she doesn't want to come online why don't you try doing all the challenges ect with her just the two of you? Pap and moozies challenge would be a good one and sit through her SOA, other than that I don't know what to suggest!

If she has that kind of attitude she will be hard to help. I think its like the AA! you need to admit there is a problem before you can be helped. Although I do believe that if you and her dad keep giving her money she will never realise the situation she is in, its tough love I know but hopefully it will help in the long run.DFW 715Debt Free!!! Afternoon everyone
Sat and spoke to OH last night about the new house adn told him how stressed out I was about everything thats going on and how if I don't think about thing he won't. Like for instance curtains. He can't sleep unless it is pitch black and he hadn't even thought about them grrr
Not much to report on DFW front. Put £3 into the tea fund yesterday and spent 95p on a bag of crisps and chocolate bar in the canteen... yes I know I know I know stupid amount of money for a bag of crips and chocolate but I needed them!
Not doing anything tonight so will update properly then

I've been sorting out a friends website tonight. Finally got it working and live after alot of faffing around and shouting at the computer! He gave me £20 as well. I tried to give it back to him but he won't have it, so I am unexpectedly in profit today

Payday is now only a week away. My phone bill is a respectable £12 and my internet and phone is £32.99 I looked online today so sorted out my budget for this month. Just need to know how much I'm getting paid now so I can work out a proper one. As soon as everything is settled down I'll properly join in with the challenges and everything. I just have far too much going on at the min!
