Careful if you buy one of the Halfords branded cartons of car shampoo that have a connector for a hose. Mine leaked

are all halfords stores having this sale cos no sign of these offers at Aberystwyth store.

There were no signs or anything at my local one, had to walk up and down all the aisles to find it - was just a few shelves in the middle of an aisle.

Top Tip for getting (non-liquid) adhesives to adhere: Warm It!

Roughly doubles the strength of the bond in my experience.

Meths cleaning the surface helps too.

I totally agree with the refuseing to do stuff that your not allowed to do. There are usually good reasons behind it either safety or monetary. the halfords one is monetary, like the examples chracked windscreen, halfords sold a pack of wiper blades for £18 say, the cracked windscreen will have cost them £200 maybe more. now it is offered as a paid service they will have insurance and be able to train their staff to do these jobs.

Most of the things they do can be done by everyone but some people just dont have the mind to do it themselves. you may find if you go to other car accessory shops that they will help you. I have often been in Halfords carpark and seen someone haveing problems getting bulbs in and have helped them.
