I think one of the main points of the whole cause is that the banks scale of charges should be more transparent to the customer. Why has a case with such obvious public interest been given such a small venue. I have read that the original venue was much larger.

I would have been happier, with the limited access, if the people originally involved in starting and following this cause, such as Stephen Hone, Dave and Mark from the consumer action group, and Martin Lewis were given places, as they would be supporting the public cause. The reporters will only have one aim, selling a story.

The original venue was half the size and the new venue has a capaity of 100.

The judge has allocated all 11 public places to the press but there will be a live feed into a retiring room for 15-20 people. A formal request has been made to the court for a hearing long single transferable place for leading campaigners.

He has. The jury is still out on the unfinished trial and the test case can't start until the jury return with a verdict.
  • The test case is however due to begin tomorrow at 10:30am
