I hope you're physically fit - I don't want to put you off, but the people I know in FM are self-confident, pro-active, ace at problem-solving, work with minimal supervision, don't mind getting their hands and clothes filthy, have a can-do attitude, have excellent people-skills and communication skills, and don't mind being treated like ****. They're the first on call when the toilet overflows, and they frequently get a call at 5am on a Sunday to be told the aircon's broken down or the fire alarm's gone off yet again. And they get no thanks for it. You'd better prepare yourself for all that; it's a tough job. I wouldn't choose to do it.

I know what is like a bit from working with them and I know its hard but lots of variety and things to keep you busy.

You pity me .. yet praise up Phil ...mmmm   There a quite a few things going on in my life that you could throw a bit of pity at - thinking that you were so over the top supportive of Phil that you could be his Mum (joke BTW) is not one of them!
It's very simple, not many people on MSE would ask if I was Phils mum, you just are not keeping up, so I pity you for jumping in feet first.
