Medion 7in Portable dvd player £59.99

I bought one of these Medion players before xmas - for about £120. It's excellent - also, comes with a 2 year Medion gtee. I had a small problem and their service department sorted it out quickly and well - at this price, it's a steal.
Don't forget, though, it offically only plays UK disks and you'll need the tweak (mentioned in this thread) to make it multiregion - which is very easy.0 -
Prices seem to be coming down quickly on all these types of product - and that's great news!
Does anyone know how long the batteries last on these, please? Thanks to all who post constructively.

Received New DVD player at the weekend. Thankfully was a brand new replacement which made the 7 weeks wait worthwhile.em512 wrote:Hi, My son had one of those Dvd Players and it was faulty. After a few weeks when you open the Dvd player to watch the screen the picture would go all funny. Called Medion and they told me they were having a few problems with these. Returned player and still waiting for replacement 7 weeks on. Maybe we are just unlucky but i would be very careful. Good thing is it carries a 2 years warranty.Pigsback points - 5,775 = £57.75 Rewards i have had 9x £8.75 vouchers from cd wowAnd im trying to get enough points for the £50.00cd-wow voucher so i can have a spending spreefor FREE.0

Thanks to everyone for the tip.
Was this in Somerfield or Kwik Save? Did it scan at this price? Anybody else can confirm if they now scan at £49.99? Cheers.0 -

Just to confirm that the battery life on the Medion is at least 3 hours, and probably a bit longer if listened to via headphones.
It does come with a car charging lead, but some were shipped with the wrong fuse, which can lead to the fuse breaking when 1st switched on. There are 2 solutions - 1) call Medion, request replacement - can take a while. 2) Unscrew plug in, exam fuse to see if it is broken. Ignore voltage (either 12v or 250v) , but note ampage. If marked "3 amps", take fuse to nearest electrical shop or small car parts dealer, and buy one of the same size rated for 5 amps - voltage can be either 12v or 250v.
Problem is that the 3 amp fuse can't supply the 28 watts of power at a constant load, and the five amp fuse can.
All this apart, it's still a great player!0 -
