That's very clear indeed - I would've understood that very well - if I'd been sent one.
If you were not sent a declaration, how did you sign it to agree it and why did Pru then commence it?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). There you go then, thats the core of your complaint. Dont spend the TFC just yet you'll have to return it. Hard to prove you've not had the notice but if the Pru admit not sending one your home and dry.
edit.. Ah posted before I saw Dunstons last post.
I dont have my pru annuity paperwork regarding the annuity anymore I slung it when I realised I could do drawdown.0 -
Hi everyone
We've reinstated this thread as there's some useful information in it.
We've removed some posts that could have been said better, as well as posts that quoted those, but unfortunately some may have contained some helpful information.
There's always more than one way to explain something to someone who doesn't fully understand the issue, if you can't explain it nicely please don't reply.
Thanks!
Andrea

Thanks Andrea but i miss Merlot!
I spoke to the Pru this afternoon, they have apologised and it is now all sorted.
One should never assume that one has been sent the correct forms or given the correct information. i am so relieved that I am not stupid as was first thought - especially by me!:DGenie

Oh dear, anyway................
If anyone out there makes a 'c**k up' or doesn't understand their position, I recommend you go back and discuss it with the company concerned - its not too late to sort things out - as I have discovered. Don't panic is my advice - it didn't get me anywhere.
I rushed into things far too quickly due to unforeseen pressures and nearly screwed up. Let me be your lesson!
goodnightGenie

I've been following this thread and it did look like a no hoper.
I am so glad that the outcome was successfull for you, regardless of how/whose c**kup it was in the fist place. Great result:TI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
really pleased for you!
i also hope that those concerned can reflect on the way in which their removed posts were worded, phrased or how they may have come across.
we are all experts in our own fields, but as experts we are not always the best at explaining things to non-experts or in laymans terms.0 -
I dont believe you Jeannie. Sorry. At least not the reasons you have give for them undoing it.
I believe that it was still within the cancellation rights period and that is why are willing to undo it. Pru did nothing wrong and undoing a pension annuity outside cancellation rights period can only happen on certain events and yours was not one of those.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
