  • I don't suppose any of us, including the OP, will ever understand exactly what happened here, but I'm glad you got it sorted OP. As you say, it doesn't hurt to talk to them.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • I must say too that I always find Dunstonh and Edinvestor very helpful and informative and can't understand why the OP found their comments offensive.

    But that's by the way.

I'm glad the OP has sorted it out.

Firstly - I never gave any reasons as to why they apologised - and as I didn't give an explanation, can't see how you have anything to disbelieve.

I never said that either of you were unhelpful - but found this site really really hard to get help without being made to feel extremely uncomfortable.

You are the experts and I bow to your knowledge.

Please be kind to others who come on this forum for advice, Zyyb for example, give him a break, he's young. Try being kind and nice and give him some support and advice - surely thats not too much to ask?

Your wording gave the impression that an error had occured and Pru were apologising for it.

I'm happy you got it resolved, I really am. However, you did turn negative on those trying to help and I did find your comments, which did appear to be directly aimed at me, to be rude.

Zyyb got a perfectly polite answer and didnt like it and gave a rude response. After that its fair game.

dunstonh, you know full well who the negative comments were aimed at:D , I am sure Jennieblue didn't mean any offence to you.

The "Experts" have to realise that we don't all know anything all the time, and sometimes things have to be explained in simple English, its all very well for someone in the profession to fully understand it, I doubt very much you would have a clue about stitching up a wound and running a A & E dept, just as Jennieblue didn't fully understand the ins and out of the Pension, that's why Martin set up the forum.

P.S. What does MEAF mean again? Have you passed that info onto the other "Expert".:D

    You think???

Its 'nice' to suggest slapping his *a...e*?

No wonder he took offence. Being rude and uncomplimentary puts peoples backs up and the lad retaliated and no one can blame him. And we both know that I'm not criticising you!

Meanwhile, Zyyb - is probably no further on - but he is getting his debt down - congratulate him, encourage him - please give him some good advice! I can't cos' what do I know!

I didnt say that. We know who did. However, he quoted my response back.

Congratulations on getting £21000 into debt on a 14k salary before the age of 23 in one of the cheapest areas to live in the country. Why not go for £30k. Go on, you can do it. ;)

Now that is not professional, that is not funny - it is extremely immature. I could retaliate on behalf of Zyyb but I will not lower myself to your level. You may know your finances but you certainly have no manners, no sensitivity and a lack of humanity. I hope Zyyb took Merlot's advice and took himself off to another forum - because he will not get help on this one.

I am going to report this to abuse and hope they close this thread. Its been disgraceful the way people have behaved. Should be ashamed of yourselves - call yourself professionals.

Or is this forum for causing problems rather than solving them -and I've missed the point? Or this forum for having fun at others expense? I feel like I'm back at school on here. Lots of bullies.
