LG Viewty for only £120

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.
I've found a great deal from Dialaphone, selling LG Viewty (T-Mobile), 12 months contract, £25 a month(12 x £25=£300). Total cashback is £120, (£300-120=£180) and through quidco, you will earn another £60.
So effectively for this mobile with Flext 25, you will only pay £120. Does it worth it? I suppose the phone will be locked to T-mobile and meantime you cannot unlock that phone yet.

  • seems like a bargain to me.
my brother had a problem with his "shine" phone recently and t-mobile upgraded him to a viewty without much of a fuss... he loves it. It doesnt feel "like a phone" though when you actually get hold of this phone, it just feels a bit weird.
You'll see what i mean when you get it.... took a bit of getting your head around, but then again i suppose modern phones do.

give me a nokia 3210 any day!

  • Just a little word of warning on this phone, I have one on contract from CPW and the battery life is rediculous. I am an average user making a few calls and sending a few texts each day but I am down to nearly empty battery each evening.

Hopefully its just a dodgy one that I have because the phone itself is nice so I am looking to get a replacement sorted this week.

I agree with it not "feeling" like a phone mind you! Its like you are talking into an iPod in my opinion!

I have had 2 LG phones now, a LG U8110 a few yrs back and currently LG S5200. They have both been poor with battery life and reliability. I would not buy an LG phone, I find LG tries to copy other phones and make theirs look good, but functionally they are rubbish.

its a fantastic phone, batt life is not amazzing however it is by no means poor, bear in mind the phone is powering that huge colour screen the batt life is very good, however you will notice a diffrence if you have just come from a mobile with a tiny screen.

the viewty is a total break through and beets the current iphones spec hands down with 3G, 5mp camera (with zoom and flash), and the abilty to send and recive photo messeges. which is all stuff you can not do on the iphone.

This phone makes the iphone look like a nokia 3320 (old old phone) its great i have not had a prob with battery usually have to charge every three days ..

I love it and would reccomend it . which is unsual because i would never never ever of considered getting an lg phone again as my experience was poor with my first ever one .

My last phone was a Sony Ericsson M600i with a relatively large screen and it didn't need charging every night like the LG Viewty does but as I said I hope that this is simply a dodgy handset as I will be asking for a replacement rather than another phone completely.

Have to say yes the specs beats the iPhone but have either of you two tired out the iPhone yourselves? One of my friends has it and I've been lucky enough to have quite an extended play with it. Usability on the iPhone is much much better than the LG Viewty from my experience.

The navigation of the menus on the iPhone is much more explicit in a "straight out of the box" kind of way and the responsiveness of the touch screen on the LG Viewty is nothing like that on the iPhone. Somtimes with the LG I feel as if I am going to push my finger right through the screen it is that difficult at times to get a response.

Saying all that, I am hoping just for a replacement phone when I take mine back to CPW rather than having to go for a whole new handset of a different model purely in my opinion as the camera is he best I have ever had on a phone and that is quite important to me.
