I want to eat at your house!!!
;-)
Honestly I can feed the three of us for £50 per week easily - but I shop at Lidl... you just have to plan your menus and never waste any food!0 -
Changed my approved foods delivery until tomorrow because they were going to deliver in the middle of the day when no one was home so will have to wait a bit longer to see what it's like.
Done my banking etc and aiming for a NSD again today which will be my target 3 in a row. So far this year I've spent less than £5. There will come a time when I will have to venture to the shops and that's when the problems start. I think I'll just take cash then can't be tempted. Never to much cash though and usually get it when I'm out shopping.Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

Approved Food order arrived and I am VERY happy! Apart from cheddar cheese, butter, milk, fruit and veg I have everything we need in cupboards and freezer.
I have managed 5 NSDs so far this month which is amazing for me.
I have exchanged some club card vouchers for cinema tickets, Prezzo vouchers and a magazine subscription so some treats this month. I also have enough Costa points for 2 free coffees because none of my friends have a card so even if they pay I collect the points.
I've made a loaf today and I'm going to meal plan in a minute with a cup of tea.
Done online banking and had a payment of £12.65 from Quidco which I've paid straight to MBNA.

Had a really good weekend MSE wise - had to go shopping on Saturday but only spent £3.84 in Wilkies shampoo was on half price and cheap kitchen roll. Then did groceries hopefully to last all weeK in Aldi for £20.61. Had 6 NSDs so far this month so well chuffed with that.
Got a really busy day ahead so mustn't stay on here too long I'm just having coffee & toast. I've already cleared out the cupboard under the stairs now I'm going to clean the rest of the house, ironing & sort a few bits out for ebaying. I need to up my income a bit to push the debt free date forward a bit.
That's it for now xxDebt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

Been working since my last post so have managed another 2 NSDs making 8 in total this month. On Tuesday I had to get petrol £25.00 and went out with some friends and spent £22.00
Should I refuse to go out?? I don't think it would help me I'd probably get fed up and go on a spree.Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

I haven't been on this site for about 3 months. I don't quite know why but I've lost the plot a bit.
I haven't added to my debt but other than minimum payments I've not repaid any extra.
I've got to the point where I'm worrying and waking up in the night again.
I think I've been so busy with work and other commitments that I haven't been planning.
I'm having a relaxing day because it's raining so I will do meal plans and take a good look at my bank account.
It's time I got my mojo back!!Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

I am really excited about being involved with other DFW's
Yes. I spend £120 a month on food for two adults and two children.
What do we eat? Well, here's the list this week....
Roast Chicken, roast potato and cabbage
Lasange (pure home made)
Beef stew & dumplings or pan fried liver and onions I havnt decided yet
2 x 18" pizza (home made) what dominos would call Fully Loaded
Chicken/pasta and leek bake with bread pudding for desert
Spagetti bolognaise (pure home made)
Roast Pork potato, spinach and carrots with star anise.
That lot cost me a little over £25.
Staples in the cupboard include tins of tomoto for sauces, pasta in 5Klio bags, bread flour for dough etc. I should also probably point out that there will be a baking day producing 2 dozen muffins, one large Victoria sponge, 3 dozen biscuits and a steamed fruit suet pudding.
And no wonder I have problems losing weight.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
Meet my best friend : YNAB (you need a budget)
My other best friend is a filofax.
Do or do not, there is no try....Yoda.

Thanks FireWyrm for your helpful post.
I didn't spend any money yesterday and inspired by your post I meal planned until the end of the month and I don't actually need to buy much.
One of my expenses is my daughter who is 20 bringing friends in and then feeding them! I don't want to stop this as I like to know her friends and make them feel welcome. She does pay some keep each month.
The other thing I don't do at the moment is bake as we are trying to lose a bit of weight or in my case quite a lot!! If there's home baking in the house I can't resist. I do bake bread, pizzas and cook from scratch.
I'm working all day today taking a packed lunch then we're aving a vegetarian noodle/stir fry supper.

Today I am going to have a NSD because I have no money with me!!!
Packed lunch, frittata & salad all of which I can get together from the contents of the fridge.
I must, I must, I must NOT stop off at the supermarket on the way home and get cashback.Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

Had a homey sort of day today. Cleaning and a bit of sorting out. Had an hour in the conservatory knitting but then had to face the supermarket - spent £38 which was to stock the freezer for DD & her friend while we head off in our motorhome or a couple of days.
It doesn't cost much as ive made a veggie shepherds pie & a quiche to take with us along with some wine & beer.
Won't be online after tonight until Monay evening.
Have a great weekend everyone xDebt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019
