I would have thought if a Doctor lied about a medical test he could be struck of the register if a complaint was made and upheld.

Anyone have a ball park figure of decision times scales after a medical?

Our Dr today was loverly by the way!

when i last had a medical, think it was in march last year (2007) I heard back that I had passed within a week which was great news as it had taken abour 5 months from sending the ib50 form back to hearing anything!

i have sent a complaint in to atos the people who supply the dr's about my medical as there are so many inacurises*spelling* and assumptions. There is also a full report on neck rotation back rotation blaa blaa which he never examined.
The dr was pleasant enough when i was there but i think i should have been more alert from his first question which was " did you give up work to have your children" well you do to have them(maturnity leave) but for ib terms it wasn't the reason( i went back work after first and even after the still birth of my son), so i said no, he then asked again a bit more sternly i said well technically at first yes, i wanted to go on and explain that it wasn't until my third child was born that i got pnd( i was breifly on smp after still birth but only maturnity leave plus a month) but he cut me off. I then had other problems develop. My youngest was born whilst on ib and it was hard especially when i had op on hand when she was 5 weeks old. She also has learning difficulties and is backwards, so now i am claiming carers allowance.
I do voluntry work( which i was doing whilst on ib) but get very tired and i also am a text chat operator now, financially better off but physically more unable due to rise in level of pain and discomfort which is having a drastic affect on my depression and family life.

Yes it is, the doctor who came to my house to examine me for dla was lovely, and said i would deffinately get it. I then got a lifetime award. This was after the appeal panel said that i couldn't have it . i applied again and the doc came out and couldn't understand why.

I've had a similiar experience to the one a lot of you are describing with my incapacity benefit medical. I went for the medical about a month ago and didn't think I'd have any problems, I've never had any problems in the past with the system. I got a letter in the post this morning to say that my benefit had been stopped because I didn't get the right amount of points.

I suffer from really bad anxiety, depression, panic attacks and of late I've been suffering from insomnia. So I was astounded to see that the examiner had put on my form that I had no problems with sleep, no problems with feeling scared or panicky for no obvious reason and other insanely stupid things that I quite obviously suffer from. He basically made out that my only fear is one of going back to work, which is utter nonsense, I'd love to go back to work and live a normal life.

I'll search out the letter but I have a feeling it was Atos that did my examination as well.

And we had every right to be. The report from the *loverly* Dr, you know the one that said OH needed a stick and rails on the bath only gives him 10 points :confused::confused:

Someone somewhere also appears to think he calk walk 800 yards plus without discomfort ~ the nursery rhyme tales is how his letter read ~ not sure if I will cry or explode when I see the full report!!!

Needless to say a letter went it the post today so lets see what they have to say about that!!!!

Appalling is the only word I can think of right now that the swear filter will let through!!
