No mention of oil for either, or F/F for the Astra? They too expensive to mention or not done a full service?! ;) Just knowing that they blatantly rip the most of the more unscrupulous nation off whilst rubbing their hands in glee, is enough for me to not use Halfords out of principle. Let alone the fact that I can get genuine stuff cheaper than even Halfords trade.

are you going to give us your biased opinion every time someone posts on this thread?

Only the same as the other 'biased' opinions, it's just making the conversation two sided ;)

    You tell me

But 'the dealer' has been slated for being a rip-off and over charging everyone that walks in?

    Not everyone disagrees with me:
Yes it's definitely an "if you don't have a clue what price it should be please buy it from us, but if you're in the trade - please come here, we know we're a rip off so we'll give you who know what the prices should be a discount."
i must admit im very fussy about oil filters , ive ran vw's for 15 yrs and heard a few storys where people had tappety engines with a non oem filter and once swapped to a vw one its silent

not saying halfords ones are good or bad , but some brands dont have the anti drain back valve inside

given the choice id chose genuine or mann brand whenever i could

well rather than using this HALFORDS TRADE CARD thread to peddle your over priced dealer parts why dont you start up a vw dealer parts cheaper than aftermarket thread? surely that would be more helpful?

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
Halfords pro 16" breaker bar RRP: £15.99, Trade: £12.79
(Wanted 24" but they'd sold out and couldn't be bothered going to another store. Still, if it gets my rear brake backplate bolts out :) )

I've got the 24" and I normally have to use an extension, it's handy for tightening wheel bolts but the shorter one + extension will give the same performance as the 24"
