Oh what a shame.. if its out of stock.. Did i not hear somewhere that if it is in an extra store and your local isnt extra they can transfer it for you? maybe they could move it from torquay for you? may be worth a try?
Habe you tried ring and reserve rather than looking online? Not sure if with ring and reserve it tells you where it is in stock rather than trying specific places..
I looked on kelkoo for you to see if it was anywhere else but no luck there either..
Im sure youve already tried these things but will keep my thinking cap on for you.0 -
i just checked again for you and says delivery within two working days and in stock0

still in stock here for home delivery
you tried it lol0 -
Hi,
I might be wrong (often are!) But wasn't there one on here somewhere last night from a catalogue cheaper?
I have been searching the threads for you but carn't find it now. It was about £29.99 cause my OH was saying he always wanted one, bless he's only 37!
Will keep looking for you.0 -
mandie you are right, I just checked and it says delivery available for your area, how weird, I cant understand that at all! I put in my postcode and it says out of stock all the time! I am just going to try the phone no. for ring and reserve - will let you know how I get on!something missing0

ok, go to your local argos first thing in the morning and litterally beg for them to transfer it between the stores... our store doesn't do this very often and wont do it if its under £40 but it can be done in exceptional circumstances. failing that if they refuse im sure they can ask they torquay branch to post it for you... i'd just be a bit wary about sending someone money off here not knowing wether they would actually go and get it for me - but thats me im a worrier lol0

From what I have gathered from other threads Argos home delivery seems to be a postcode lottery. Each area in the country gets its deliveries from a set depot. If available at your depot you can have it, if not you can't. That's why it asks for just your postcode to start with I guess.
Good luck with getting the set you want.0 -
Sometimes the website will say an item is in stock until you put your postcode in because it can only check your local warehouse when you do that.
I've just tried my postcode and it lets me get to the payment screen so my local warehouse must have the stock.0 -
I didn't realise that it was a postcode lottery although it is starting to make sense now! I wonder it they would make an exception at all?
I did think about going to my local store to beg, but didn't think I would get anywhere! I tried it once before on the phone but it was a definite no! Maybe worth another try though!something missing0
