Anyone prepared to pick up scalextric from Argos Torquay and post - desperate!!

I am not sure where to post this, so please feel free to move to the correct board and accept my apologies. I am desperate for a scalextric set which is in Argos half price. I reserved one before christmas for my son, but when I went to pick it up, for some reason it wasn't there. Have been repeatedly checking their website in case of more deliveries but no luck. Have sourced the last one (so I am told) at Argos in Torquay which is nowhere near where I live. Is there anyone out there who would be prepared to do a pick up and post, could pay by paypal - I know this is a big ask but am really desperate! Please if you could help, could you pm me, would obviously pay all costs plus for your time etc. Please get in touch if you can help!

Is it the one down to 65? it seems to have the option for home delivery within 2 days.. I tried to see if they had it local to me to reserve it for you which it isnt but then it let me put my details in and try to home deliver it for 2 days... never went any further but maybe it would work for you??

lab-dab, thats the one, I got really excited when I saw home delivery come up, but like you it let me put my address in and then said no stock! I have phoned customer services etc. and they say it is very unlikely they will get any more in as the new catologue is out soon.

I live quite near to Torquay........... and could possibly pick it up for you. Its the logistics that seem a bit difficult due to the time restriction. Let me know if you have any idea how to go about it

When you put in your postcode and house no, it then goes to out of stock on the last page. I did phone Argos and double check and the lady confirmed that they were out of stock! Thought I had got lucky!!

just read up about your home delivery put my postcode in ch63 5js and it will be available, dunno wot we gonna do then like but we can work from there kk
