o2, free calls under 3 minutes
i'm using o2's pay as you go (£10 top up and a 100 free texts for the month) but i've noticed calls under 3 minutes return the message. "Calls under 3 minutes fall for qualifiying calls." so they're basically free, anyone else know about this or do i have a dodgy phone/sim? thanks.

Are they not advertising something about this on the tele at the moment?0

i've searched websites (including o2) but have yet to find ANYTHING about this, so if it is an offer its not very well spread.0

Could it not be the message that reads, "you've made 0 minutes of qualifying calls today, after 3 minutes the call charge will fall for qualifying calls?"
I've just made a quick call and I'm on o2 Online PAYG and got charged for it but got the message above.0 -
well if you are getting charged then what does it mean by qualifiying calls?0

they charge 25p a minute for the first 3 minutes everyday then it drops to something like 5p permin to landline and other o2 numbers for the remainder of that day......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

As izzy_flint says, the charges are 25ppm for the first 3minutes of calls that day. Any other calls are only 5ppm (2ppm at weekends) for the remainder of that day. That is for calls to landlines and o2 mobiles, calls to other networks are 40ppm all the time.0

Surely you just use an override number to stop paying the 40p xnet - so during the week xnet would be 17ppm and w/es 5ppm after the initial three minutes. This is based on 18866 prices so 5p+12p during the week and 2p+3p at w/es.0 -
If you have the cards that give you 300 free texts a month you can change the plan by calling this number (the free number you use from your mobile)i did it with my moms phone 2 weeks ago and changed the option to so many free calls and texts per month when you top up with £10 per month
It took over a week to be activated but its now working
Its 100 free texts and a 100 free min i thinkNumber 4 due 21st jan0 -

Did you choose the option to get 100 free calls and message units to use as you like.So you could send say 65 texts and have 35 minutes of calls. That could be the reason you are not being charged for the calls you made.PF.0 -
