Is this fishy?? Exclusive Lifestyle Passport

Apparantly I have won a holiday for upto six people to Spain, Canaries, Portugal, Scotland or Cornwall with exclusive lifestyle passport. All i would have to pay is £29.50 booking fee if we go ahead.
I obviously asked the question if this was a timeshare scam, they said they are tied in with timeshares, but there is no obligation. All i would need was spenders as we would have a self catering villa/apartment and flights and transfers would be included.
This obviously sounds too good to be true?
Has anyone else had experience with this company and should we steer clear, or is it worth a free holiday for the sake of maybe a day of timeshares being shoved down our throats?
Please help!

  • Did you find out anymore about this? I too have been offered a holiday after entering a competition through 2 min online draw. I have been told to pay £64.50 per person to cover air tax and travel surcharges. The offer is open for 18 months but we must attend a talk for a maximum of 2 hours. I mentioned that we have a new baby and was advised that they recommend not to bring babies to the talk so we should wait til a bit later. She stressed that there is no obligation to purchase anything and that the free holiday offer still stands once we have attended the talk.

    Do we bother or not?

Someone once rung me and told me i`d won a free holiday, then said i`d have to pay £35 booking fee per person! I said it was`nt really free then and i was going to report them to trading standards - they hung up!

I had the same experience early last year, the company was called Teneriffe Dreams, when told I had won a competition, I asked how could I have done if I had`nt entered one, she asked me if I had been abroad lately and had I filled in a customer satisfaction form on the plane .........yep.......I did .Dont usually but this time I did...that is where they get the info from. Won`t make the same mistake again. The cost to me would have been £29 PLUS air fares ,which they would book if I wanted them to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was time-share, but she assured me it would only take up a small amount of time, yeah right...........she was still talking when I put the phone down.

Ah well we live and learn

I won the same thing (and I use the word won loosely). It is a timeshare type promotion. The 2 hour talk is rarely less than 3-4 from having been to one before but I did get the holiday. Trouble is as said, you probably will be badgered again whilst there as they send you to their own accommodations. With flights as cheap as they are at times, its not really that big of a deal I dont think.
  • My husband and I went on the 'chat' today. We were there for 4 hours although they said we would be no more than 2 - 2 1/2 hours!!! We got our £25. voucher and our 'free' holiday and we decided that 4 hours isn't that bad as long as you are strong enough to say NO at the end. You are 'pressured' into purchasing their timeshare so if you think you aren't strong enough DON'T GO. When we said 'NO' at the end they said 'did we ever feel at any stage that we might buy' the answer again was 'NO'. They then said well if you had told us that at the beginning we would have just given you the voucher and free holiday and wouldn't have made you sit through the 3 hour presentation..... hmmm, I doubt it. IF YOU DECIDE TO GO ON THIS LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS... WILL DEFINATELY TRY IT NEXT TIME!! Will also let you know what hol is like.
to be rich in happiness is worth so much more than to be rich in money.... wouldn't it be nice to have the choice of both though!
  • Went to a Club Costa promotion today and get our £50 voucher after 40 minutes of arriving. They had people backed up in the foyer who probably looked more like buyers than us so they let us go. Can't say it was a hard sell as we didn't stay long! Maybe if they think you are a likely candidate and had no one else to interview they would try harder. I think they has guessed straight away we were just there for the vouchers and cheap holiday. Any on to the holiday vouchers; Anyone had experience of the Exclusive Lifestyle Passport holiday experience? I have two weeks to make up my mind whether to go or not, and spend £29.50 up front per person to book. I guess the catch is its another timeshare outfit who 'know where you live' so to speak if you went.on the hol. I'd be prepared to put up with one hard sell but if it was all week then I might not do it. If anyone has any experience of one i'd like to know.

Since last post we have decided that cheap hol is worth the risk. Its through an outfit called Ambassador Holidays, its another arm or Club La Costa by the looks of it. Have carefully chosen holiday dates so we avoid dates too close to November or December as weather may be bad. Anyway looks kosher so far as have received confirmation of 'booking' if thats the right word, hotel, airport and dates all TBA. We figured that at about £300 all in for a holiday is cheap by any measure so will put up with one days hard sell. I'll update this thread when more details arise.
